May 24, 20242 yr Unfortunately with this SU15, there are intermittent issues with the validation of the PMDG 737 or DC6 resulting in a frozen cockpit, switches, blank crt, etc, unusable. To note that none of my other products have suffered from this issue, and I did not experience it with the MD88 or the Fenix. It's frustrating that Mathijs from PMDG acknowledged being aware of this issue for weeks but still doesn't know why it's happening and it was no attempt to fix it. ================================================ Mathijs [PMDG] If enough people are seeing this it might be an idea for a sticky post regards it? That would be an idea when we have hundreds of people reporting it, not three. We have seen reports of this in the last few weeks, but it is mostly solved by loading the aircraft again. We currently have no idea what could cause this and have never seen it on any of our machines. ================================================ Despite knowing about the issue, they didn't bother to troubleshoot and claimed that they had never seen it on any of their machines and haven't had hundreds of people reporting it. This type of attitude and level of service is not in line with customer expectations and should not be entertained. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
May 24, 20242 yr I was on the beta and didn't run into any new issues with the PMDG. I tend to get hit with that weird authentication bug where the yoke is at a 90-degree angle. Restarting the flight usually fixes it. EDIT: Ok, this looks like it's' the same yoke issue. But I've been plagued by that for the entirety of my using the 737, I am also active in Southwest VA and I don't recall seeing widespread reports of the issue on their Discord. I am not defending PMDG, but unreproducible problems are a nightmare to fix. I remember INI having to issue special builds to testers when the A300 shipped because some of the issues weren't showing up on their systems. Edited May 24, 20242 yr by BrammyH
May 24, 20242 yr I think I saw this yesterday in SU15, hit esc, reloaded the 737 and flight from the main menu and all was fine so wrote it off but will try to note if it happens repeatedly. To be fair, I don't see what the excitement is about though (yet). If there are limited reports and it's not reproduceable for them what would be acceptable? I haven't seen a single post about it here and SU15 is less than 24 hours old. Do you think they are being dishonest and have hundreds of complaints and know what the issue is but are lying? And I am not a fan of MK over the years just wondering what should be entertained? Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
May 24, 20242 yr I had the same issue trying the 737 last night. It's definitely a bug. Let us not forget they released a 777 without any fan blades, a 777 with an obvious pitch problems and a 747 that couldn't taxi properly. I've always said the standard of addons has slowly and steadily decreased over the last 10 years on all the platforms by all the developers. I can't remember the last time a product was released in a complete state by any of the Devs. "Release it now ,patch it later" Edited May 24, 20242 yr by fluffyflops

Not to create an unproductive discussion, hitting esc, restarting the flight it's not a fix. Also, this issue was/is known to them and should be investigated. I wouldn't accuse them of lying, but this isn't the first time they've claimed that they've never seen the issue on their machines, only for it to be fixed later. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

Certainly not related to SU15. I did not notice/have that issue before. I'm not saying NO, don't get me wrong. Actually, if this had happened before and was brought to their attention, it is more troubling. Based on their way of doing business, they have chosen so many times to disregard issues related to the software. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
May 24, 20242 yr I‘ve had this issue a few times during one of the first SU 15 betas, but definitely not in the last beta. So hitting ESC and reloading the aircraft takes only a few seconds, that‘s not a big deal for me. I wonder if it's a weird sim connect issue. And the sim connect calls that different users have, or the combination of them, is what causes the problem. I have a bunch of stuff making calls to the sim: GSX, Volanta, Navigraph, ATC programs, ACARS for VAs, Spad, etc. I think when this happens to me, something there just caused an error that affects the plane. I don't know if they are all making sim connect calls, but the amount of external stuff I have running doesn't surprise me if something glitches the matrix. I gave up troubleshooting this. Hitting the "restart flight" takes less time than the digging. Folks who have this problem may not be using any external apps, but I also don't know what mechanism PMDG uses to verify the authentication.

This type of attitude and level of service is not in line with customer expectations and should not be entertained. You should change the title to "SU 15 and the typical Kok customer service". These kind of statements I've seen hundreds of from Kok over the years. The more I think about the more I assume they hired Kok to scare people away and decrease the number of support requests. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
May 24, 20242 yr I also had this same issue yesterday. downloadad SU15, cleared everything, caches etc., rebooted, flew the 737-700. Noticed zero improvements in FPS nor stutters, oh well, maybe it was a perf update for Xbox only. Then I tried turning HAGS back from ON to OFF. Rebooted of course. Then the 737 had the left yoke, dead plane bug. I had heard of this but never seen it..ever. This is PMDGs copy protection system failing...just like the DC-6 when breakers start popping. They tell you to redownload it. I switched to the 737-800 and it was fine. Then went back into the -700 and the yokes were ok but switches wouldn't work. Then I went out to the menu and back into the plane a couple times and it started working. I'm guessing this is why they waited for SU15 to retest and launch the 777. May 24, 20242 yr I complained about the DC6 and it's erratic tracking of GPS, almost since the day, as have many others on the PMDG/DC6 forum. Always the same answer, they don't see any problem. yeah, right. I just stopped flying it altogether. Problem solved. 😉
May 24, 20242 yr This isn't a SU15 issue though, was happening and had been reported by people not using the beta (me for one). G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
