June 2, 20242 yr Oh, and then now reboot the computer (windows). Now you will or will not see a bottom line or two that do not have a #. But it will now be correct. If you have a VPN then you will now see lines at the bottom without beginning with a #. Otherwise, there is likely no lines without a # at the beginning. But it should now be a correct hosts file. (the hosts file will change yet again after you use the map enhancement mod). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. With the default Bing map tiles there is no issue in that region. Quote : Photogrammetry as it applies to MSFS is the use of photos to generate 3D models. PG is one of the main features from MSFS. But everyone can choose to have them On or Off. "What does PG off fix when seeing wrong seasonal Bing tiles when using the mods Latest Bing setting ?" That...
June 3, 20242 yr For anyone seeing tile popping or whited out scenery (like the moutains below) I had the issue and solved it using the app's lowest icon on the left bar: clear all data clear all photogammetry Choose cache file, cache file path= C:\Program Files\MSFS2020 Map Enhancement\cache.db cache file size = 5 GB Hgh LOD Enabled (checked ON) Load HIgh LOD images only when flying (unchecked =OFF) Here's the mess before I did that (white mountains no texture). Problem went away doing the above. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. So if PG is Off the Tiles will look good… Will try that. I always thought that with PG Off you would loose realistic MSFS 3D models around airports and cities, being replaced by general ones… How that might affect Photo Tiles I do not understand. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

As such, whatever overall colour tone is used to create a PG city will appear on the PG photo tile as well. Unless an Asobo dev is specifically tasked with matching the PG colour tone to the surrounding Bing maps imagery, there will always be a tone discrepancy. Precisely, see my post on this thread as a perfect example of that discrepancy. I like to fly with PG On but that is a major drawback. Even in vastly remote areas where the FPS is very good I get these pauses from time to time, tweaking the settings to your suggested ones may be helpful 🤞🏼 Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)
June 3, 20242 yr Unfortunately setting Photogrammetry to Off does not solve the issue in the Rome area. The default Bing map from MSFS looks good as also the free Google map. Latest Bing has these issues.
