What you show in your photo is simply a difference in tile color. There are many in different places on MSFS 2020 by default. You need to differentiate between a tile color and a place where there is photogrammetry.

Couple of questions:

1. Will REX Accuseason cause any issues w/ the mod?
2. What might cause CTD's using the mod?  I've had some CTD right as the plane is loading at the departure gate already out of only 4 tries using the mod.  I have photogrammetry OFF using this mod, and have deleted the rolling cache file and have it off now as well.

2) Never had an CTD with this mod.I've been using this mod for years and it's been years since I flew on this MSFS 2020 cartoon by default

Question, what prevents MS from using the latest Bing maps in the first place?

It looks like different seasons.

Using Google map it looks good, but I like the High Lod tiles from Latest Bing.

I probably will end up with Latest Bing for most of the flights and Google for the few flights where there are a lot of color differences 

Or maybe I will try the payware version to see if there are other maps that look like Latest Bing and also have High lod tiles.

Don't strain yourself too much either, it won't do any good. I fly 25 to 30 hours a week and I have been using this mod since the beginning, I have tried all the options except the paid one and I can tell you that the latest version of BING is overall the most balanced.

And I also confirm that photogrammetry OFF is the most harmonious solution

I tried this mod and uninstalled it.  I can no longer get the MSFS bing data to load in the sim.  It just keeps saying bandwidth to low.  I've tried deleting the rolling cache again as well as the content.xml file. 

Has anyone had this issue or are MSFS servers actually down at the moment?

Did you click 'STOP' on the mod the last time you used it? I'd try re-installing it, start it, stop it, then see what happens before you uninstall it again.

The Brightness slider for the terrain tiles is a stroke of genius, the difference between default and "Latest Bing" using -10% Brightness is a massive difference.

Anyone know of a mod that does this to default tiles? Just struggling a bit with performance with this mod, even with High Lod unticked it's a bit too stuttery at times when they're loading.

I just finished my flight on LOWI with a brightness of -15  which I have been using for many months .This of course depends on the brightness setting you use on your monitor.

 It was a fabulous flight.

Thanks for the suggestions and the pictures. I assume those pictures were with the -15 brightness. Do you also have Photogrammetry OFF normally? Do you ever turn it on?

 

Dos anyone here have a comparison of the Bing (Latest) to the Apple Maps, Google Maps or ArcGIS maps to see if those are better color balanced? I find the latest Bing Maps to be overly sharpened, or so it seems due to the coloring, and although I prefer them to the normal Bing Maps, I am not 100% convinced about them.

I posted above about tiles off and no color issue and how I fixed it. Hours later and many flights it is still fixed. I see no issues using the better Bing tile mod now.

There are also saturation, 3 colors, brightness, contrast sliders. These have no effect until new tiles are loaded, for instance starting a new flight at a different airport. And the effect is low, move the sliders a lot and there is only a little difference.

Although logical, you should clarify that PG off only affects regions with PG coverage. The sometimes visible lines due to colour differences of two adjacent regions will remain with this mod. Just in different places than default and usually less often.
