June 14, 20241 yr After using msfs yesterday, tried restarting today with no system changes and stuck on checking for updates. Restarted and rebooted 4 times and still stuck. What on earth is wrong with asobo, microsoft and this damned sim? All this after 3 or 4 days of server problems and loads of time wasting too. June 14, 20241 yr Just curious - have you tried the map enhancement mod? You can select other servers besides Bing ( ie Google ) that may be beneficial in times like this.

Mine loads fine right now, but does indeed spend some 30 seconds on that screen. I usually give up after about 10 minutes and try again (to no avail today). June 14, 20241 yr You know, there may be a reason as to why we've been experiencing server issues. MS/Asobo might be doing upgrades and getting them ready for MSFS20204 launch, just a thought. June 14, 20241 yr Yup, I'm stuck on the update screen, too. No mods. It was fine earlier this week. Presumably this is a server-side issue that randomly comes and goes. It seems like it's a little early for it to be related to the MSFS 2024 rollout, but who knows? EDIT: It took a few minutes instead of the usual one or two seconds, but it got past the update screen and loaded correctly.
