They aren't wasting resources creating half-baked alternatives, they just reach out to the best and most established people in their field and bring them on-board. I totally agree. as a welcome side effect for MSFS: all that external talent is exclusive to MSFS, thus limiting these potential improvements for other sims and increasing the gaps even further. The example chart shown: ILS14L at LFBO is not the Jeppesen version. It may be the LIDO version, or it may be from NavBlue (which was the original intended chart supplier for MSFS going back to the very beginning of the franchise). OR the charts are procedurally generated from the core nav data the way that the recently discontinued Aivlasoft EFB did for charts. NB has their own charts product. The current supplier of LIDO charts for flight sim use is Aerosoft, but their charts product has never been as popular as Navigraph’s (which uses Jeppesen). (fewer non-integrated apps to have to install and update). 👍 A slight alteration to the above: It still may apply to some devs they are partnering with for 2024, but Kai from GAIST has said, in the dedicated thread here, : Quote Exactly what the destiny of GAIST will be in MSFS 2024 is still unclear, but it will not, as some already interpreted it, be integrated into MSFS. But more about that in the coming months. So not every add-on dev partner will have their product integrated. Would have been nice (as long as its use wasn't mandatory for those who didn't want to use it), but not a deal-breaker. (I did try to delete the laughing emoji in my self-quote, but removing emojis always seems next to impossible on a tablet for some reason I've never understood). Navigraph used LIDO before switching to Jeppesen. A decision I personally was not happy about, as I always detested the Jeppesen layout. I would look forward to having both available IN sim. Something that Aerosoft's NavData Pro does not offer.
