I do not have EDDM installed at all!? Also, LOWS shows as installed but I see generic airport there. If I look in the Offical folder, I have this from today:

My favorite world update by far. Because everything downloaded lightning fast, even though most every player had booted up MSFS because they knew of the WU. And the cloud did not choke. Therefore I deduce the MSFS servers will handle the increased load of MSFS2024 nicely. To me this was the biggest issue: the capability of MS servers under heavy player usage!

So far I've only flown over Austria. Vienna TIN looks great. Ground imagery looks good in general, and I suppose that the mesh resolution is quite good too. No complaints so far. 

Next step will be to check out the enhanced airports. Should be interesting as I have 3rd party addons for these except for Bern.

There is no EDDM from MS/Asobo with this update, i have not get a EDDM either, maybe they skip this release of things are not ready yet - or some other reason.

I belive it's coming later this year..

But to say i have the simwings EDDM and i am realy HAPPY with that, so not missing the MS/Asobo/Gaya EDDM !

You forgot to actually get the World Update. Like it always happens with every World Update were people forget to get it in the marketplace and that the automatic update at the start of the sim does not actually install the world update.

What you listed as having updated was just the update to your existing stuff in preparation for the world update.

 

I feel like this is some kind of Star Trek like infinity loop where the same happens with every World Update. 18 of them, the last one came out, what not 2 months ago, and everytime there are people who forget how the process to get them works.

 

And I make this kind of comment with EVERY World Update and ask what it takes to people finally remember how this works. And then someone comes in to their defense and says: "Maybe this is their first, or they did not get all 18 of them and that's why the last time they did this was so long ago that they forgot how it works."

And then we do the whole thing all over again with WU 19...

OK, thanks that could happen, but as i said i am lucky with my Payware EDDM so i have no reason to download the MS Version.

I figured out what I did wrong.

Next to the search box in Content Manager, there are two icons, one representing a package and the other represents a list.

I should have clicked on the list icon and that would have shown the Microsoft EDDM version. 

I reinstalled the WU XVIII again and deleted jst EDDM second time around.

UPDATE: after restarting MSFS, the Microsoft version of EDDM shows up in Content Manger as just 2,97 GB so I hope it is OK now.

Just go to the content manager and next to the search box are two icons. Search for EDDM and select the 'List' icon, the microsoft version can be uninstalled from there. It's about 2.94GB.

You are right, I screwed up. Should have clicked on the 'List' icon first.

Do you guys see any traffic in LOWS? Using FSLTL, the airport is empty for me.

Can anyone fly out of LSZB north and share some screenshots? I wonder if I have an issue with my installation or if it is so bad for everybody...

So, everyone else thinks that the ghost town at EDDM Munich in the Gaya/Asobo version looks OK?? I mean, the buildings and general layout look fine at a distance, but what about all of the empty shells of buildings? What about those car parks? Am I missing something here?
