Hi all,

I read that the new update will improve performance on zen 5 ,4 and 3 cpus from AMD. I myself have a 7600x so I hope it gives a little boost. Unfortunate i don't see any benchmarks for msfs. Any tried it already? Since msfs is so cpu bound i hope to see some nice improvements. See blog.

I think I’ll just wait until it is official. Can’t be bothered joining the Insider program. Excited to see if there’s any performance benefit though.

You have to do it once, there's no way out if you want to be up to date.

You can't hold this update back for ever or a to long time, at some point Win11 tells you you have to do it or your support breaks down somehow..

cheers 😉

Tried it from the Insider program a few months ago and, of course, Wham! -no WMR! Using my Reverb G2, I had to get out of the Insider Program back to 23h2 or my G2 was a doorstop.  Expecting delivery of a Pimax Crystal Light tomorrow, though I wish I could have the G2 as a backup after 24h2, but I guess not. Too bad.

I have been avoiding W11, and will probably do so, until the last minute. There is a reason why 2/3 of PC users are staying with W10.

Have to disagree here. There's zero reason except being conservative or stubborn. It's a more modern better overall system and as with everything new has its learning curve because things switched around a bit.

And now even features a free 25% performance boost in some cases for gamers.

And that is why the overwhelming majority of PC users don't want to install it on their PCs, I guess.

Windows 10 was great, I had that tweaked to perfection so every single game/simulator ran as well as they could whilst the OS I kept very maintained. Rarely had any problems, it ran as smooth as butter.

But I was then forced into a new PC purchase which came with Win11 as default, thought I'd give it a try and it's just fine for my needs. That was until the whole WMR deprecation nonsense though, but I've a avoided that by selling both my Reverbs and getting a Pico 3 NeoLink which is a fine all round HMD.
