August 27, 20241 yr I spent a few hours last night (I need a life) looking at various photos of 737 Classics and unfortunately I could not find sort of panel that looked like the teaser photos. Especially in areas I think I remember seeing it. Of coarse we don't know the scale of the panels shown in the photo. If they are super small they may not show up in a photo. I also looked at many Jetstream 31/41 photos plus Saab 340 and Saab 2000 photos. Also looked at the NAMC YS-11 just because it was in a series of photos I was already looking at. I don't think its those! After looking at the first teaser picture posted by PMDG with the half circle detail I am reasonably confident that might be an engine cowling over the wing like a turboprop. It could also be a rudder detail between the vertical tail stabilizer and the top of the fuselage. The lower part of the picture indicates a horizontal flat surface like a wing and the upper part indicates a vertical surface like an engine cowling. Most likely a low wing turboprop not a high wing like an ATR or Dash 8. I am stumped but confidence is running high its a turboprop. My instincts are telling me its a Boeing however!

However if they stick with Boeing what else can be done at this point? The space for Boeing jet airliners is indeed pretty crowded at this point. But Boeing made and makes more than just jet airliners. Just to throw some ideas out there: A classic propliner -- the 377? (The picture doesn't look like anything from that era though.) A helicopter -- the Chinook? (Again though, the picture doesn't really look like something from a helicopter.) Something military -- B-52 or C-17? (I don't think PMDG has done military aircraft before -- but they might?)
August 28, 20241 yr I think he had a model of a 757 on his desk in an interview and was hitting about it. 757 is my bet. Fits with their Boeing line. David Murden. August 28, 20241 yr Browsing other forums nobody has guessed it yet but several people who used to work the ramp have sworn they have seen it before. Analyzing all the discussions it seems the most people hope its either a 737 Classic series and/or a 737 Jurassic series followed by a study level 787 series. When Qualitywings was around you had some talented people on that team. I imagine some of those team members are possibly working for PMDG now since they have grown. Its likely some of those team members brought the 787 source files with them. Its possible PMDG took that project over and we will probably know about in the coming month(s). Its also possible that the pictures are just fake airplane parts and PMDG is using the data from all the forums trying to get a feel for what they will make next? Considering how big and wide our hobby is and how so many used to work in that industry and around several aircraft of all types everyday its amazing nobody has solved the puzzle yet. PMDG likes to make planes that will sell and bring in lots of revenue. Its gotta be something popular!

SWS are doing the whole series of B-52s, but a PMDG C-17 would be wonderful. Technically they did do a 'military' aircraft; a P-8 Poseidon, but it was just a quick adaptation of their 737-800NGX for FSX - no weapons bays or anything like that. August 28, 20241 yr I am pretty amazed that no one found out so far. Using the picture via Google lens also resulted in nothing but the homepages showing the PMDG screenshot. Funny Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

They have no means to start a new project that competes with the likes of Black Square, Bluebird or Fenix etc. "Better to remain silent...than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt." PMDG is quite the polarizing dev shop, but given the timeline of their products in MSFS vs other devs old and new, they're clearly competent.
