September 6, 20241 yr Traffic is back online as they added servers. Currently flying KBOI-KDEN and all is well. Jacek G. Ryzen 5800X3D | Asus RTX4090 OC | 64gb DDR4 3600 | Asus ROG Strix X570E | HX1000w | Fractal Design Torrent RGB | AOC AGON 49' Curved QHD |

September 6, 20241 yr Well for traffic, I kind of wished I didnt ditch BATC for SayIntentions. But I cant go back. Guess im just waiting for SayIntentions traffic update. Ill give it a shot when its for the base program though. However long that takes.

September 6, 20241 yr mad respect for the BATC devs (and for that matter, SayIntentions devs, Pilot2ATC dev, FSHud dev, etc...) because it is obviously a monumentally challenging task to create a fully functional ATC simulation that's capable of replicating real world procedures while also capable of handling the 'human' factor (different things a human might ask, different ways a human might behave, and so on.) then throw in traffic simulation on top of that... in short, there's probably a reason it's 2024 and there's still no product that can do it all without tripping up regularly (whether it's because of unique airport procedures, faulty navdata, actual changes in real world procedure, you name it...) 😛
September 7, 20241 yr I am not seeing any traffic at KDEN. I installed the experimental version, but it is very lonely in Denver. Do I need to do anything with MSFS in the traffic pages? Do I need to install aircraft models? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

September 7, 20241 yr This is a good start for traffic imo. The ATC directs all the planes and it just adds another level of realism to the airport. Didn’t notice any fps hit, and the ATC chatter was basically similar to the ATC Chatter plugin i use with P2ATC. Glad i bought the supporters version because this is going to be an exciting product once they get all the features implemented. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

😛 The problem may be that they want to cover a lot instead of focusing on solving the basics first, what good is an AI traffic control if you are not able to do a good vectorization as mentioned above.
September 7, 20241 yr You can see a number of people here fail to grasp the concepts of Early Access and Alpha. Acting surprised that these products aren’t functioning as if they were full releases. I mean there’s a good reason BATC released traffic in Alpha (important keyword and very different to a Beta) to only its supporters and not even release it to early access buyers.

I had a perfectly serviceable flight from Berlin to Palma de Mallorca, with voice recognition and AI traffic. I dont think it's pure ATC because it doesn't give me a speed to separate me, and it cleared me for take off when another guy was just touching down. But it's an alpha and it was really immersive. We've got other ATCs that are flying you around in completely empty skies and don't interact with any other aircraft at all. I've no idea why you need an ATC for that, but that's another story and all the programs have their supporters. One thing, it gave me a callsign "Airbus 16", and I'm not sure where to change it. I thought it would automatically sense my Simbrief callsign of Ryanair 216.
