I want to emphasize that. That's a game changer for anyone who likes to fly with real life amounts of traffic.

I had a pretty full KDEN and my FPS never dropped. But we will see once all features are implemented.

I have not purchased this yet, but now I'm really interested. I currently don't have a microphone or headset, can I use this without voice control (I saw this is needed in the setup options)?

Also, I'm already using FSLTL. Does that mean I can use those already installed models with Beyond ATC?

Cheers,

Pete

Yes, it simulates your speech and has a "co-pilot" character as well.

Yes for the button-only control and yes for the models. BATC uses automatically all FSLTL (or AIG) models you have installed.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Anybody able indicate what the FPS hit is like with lots of AI Traffic? I seem to recall reading on Discord the developers were indicating NO FPS hit because the traffic is managed/injected outside the simulator, but I find that difficult to believe. PSXT+RealTraffic injects traffic outside the simulator and that induces a significant FPS hit.

As some people mentioned already, you don't need a microphone to use BeyondATC.

But if you have a phone, you usually get an earphone that comes with a microphone for your phone. If your earphone and microphone from your phone can be plugged into your laptop, you can use that for BeyondATC.

If your are using a desktop PC that doesn't have an input for your earphone and microphone, but it does have separate microphone and headset inputs, you can use a "splitter" which combines the microphone and headset inputs, into a single input for your earphone and microphone: https://www.amazon.com/Headphone-Splitter-Computer-Smartphone-Headset/dp/B01MQZ2023

The splitter is very cheap, and the earphone and microphone is also very cheap (probably free, if you use the one that came with your phone). It might be possible to buy both for under $12 USD, depending on where you live.  So no more than $12 USD is pretty cheap, if you want to get a microphone working with BeyondATC (if you go this route, I would make sure your microphone is working properly in Windows, before you buy BeyondATC).

I have great FPS with BATC traffic even with the slider set to the maximum 10. Most people on their Discord seem to confirm the same, though some say it’s hitting their FPS - I suspect it might be something to do with their setup or traffic source. I use AIG with all airlines installed.

Prior to BATC, I used PSXT for static aircraft parking only (30%), so no moving aircraft at all, and FPS were far worse.

I’m not quite sure how BATC manage to be so FPS friendly, even when compared to PSXT, but it’s impressive!

Can you confirm how much does the ap cost? Is it $30 + another $30 to be a supporter?

Correct, or you can buy the supporter from the start for $59.99 or thereabouts.

No FPS hit here for a pretty full EDDF on slider 5. I did see quite a few blank liveries though for the E95 which you can prevent with the FSLTL configurator, so I might have to spend a bit of time on downloading some AIG stuff.

No FPS hit here either. As a temporary "solution" for enroute traffic, I am running FSLTL and AIFlow/AI Ground and omitting arriving/departing traffic from the departure and arrival airport. This gives me traffic in the air (although uncontrolled). Haven't seen any bad effects yet, and again this is just a temporary solution.

It costs $30 USD. Just buy that version.

The supporter version is just a thank you to the BeyondATC team, and help them to support their work. It's not required to buy it, if you can't spare the extra cash. While the BeyondATC team is releasing the AI traffic earlier for owners of the supporter version, the AI traffic will eventually come to the regular $30 version, you just have to wait for it to come.

What's difference between 5 and 10 traffic?  Is it just the amount of static planes?  At 5, I can't get thru to ATC because of all the traffic communication.  I have not tried other settings.

Yes, it affects the parked aircraft which depart only later.
