There will be a share option wherever your photos are hosted. Get the URL from that share option and directly post it in your Avsim post. If your photo hosting site is giving you grief, use another one. I have never had a problem with https://postimages.org/ for example. September 22, 20241 yr Imgur has an excellent GUI. I log into imgur with Google using a single mouse click. It keeps me logged in for a month. Click your user name on upper right and choose images. Then choose New Post. At that point you can click on the URl to upload pic from net, or click on Choose to upload from hard disk. Right click your name again and choose images again. Click on your new image and then choose Direct Link. That puts the link in your clipboard, which you post on Avsim forum. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Even with a reasonable limit of images are deleted after 60 days, 50gb of hosting is what like $10 maybe $30 a month? That's a whole lot of screen shots. Avsim cannot swing that? Just how bad are things here? Have you seen how often the servers on this site poop themselves?

I use 2020 but will simply switch to 2024 after release. No hate from me or any other people on here as far as I can see. There is plenty in YT coments and stuff here like 'MSFS looks dated'. It exists i'm not making it up. Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 8GB / 2x8 RAM/

Just looking at the mud on those Cubs makes the current sim look a bit dated. I hope the 3pds re-edit their glass models to be default clean so the dirt can build up naturally instead of being whatever they stuck on them while texturing them. Yes, I have seen those, but saying 'MSFS looks dated' is far from 'hate'. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). By the way, it would be unwise to walk up a hill or down a road if not in the 1% or less special hand modified biomes in 2024. The result would not be pleasant. The airports, at least the bespoke ones, will surely also provide nice results when you wander around on foot. Sarcasm? 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
September 23, 20241 yr No sarcasm. The truth. The pleasant walks in the countryside and hills we see in the previews are at selected sites. The idea that MSFS has carefully groomed the whole world in such a manner is not one that I can entertain as very plausible. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Exactly, there are modded airports with a lot of detail so its possible but to believe that every piece of the earth in MSFS24 is given the exact same level of care and love will leave people disappointed. As it is MSFS you can fly one area and it looks stunning, fly another area and its very lacking and I can accept why that is. I see MSFS 24 being no different. Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 8GB / 2x8 RAM/
September 23, 20241 yr I'd be worried if MSFS2020 didn't look dated when alongside MSFS24, but it does so far from what I've seen. Does that make the predecessor bad looking all of a sudden? Certainly not, it's still and will continue to look gorgeous in certain scenarios. The fact that you can't entertain something as very plausible doesn't necessarily make it the truth. 😉 Edited September 23, 20241 yr by mistolip
September 23, 20241 yr Seen a clip of the first career mode flight and there were two very noticeable lines of distinction in the visuals. There was a bubble of full autogen around the user, which gave way firstly to an obvious secondary bubble of partial autogen beyond it. At a further distance it was clear that there was no autogen at all. Very reminiscent of how P3D operated. I do hope that was down to settings and isnt reflective of how the sim runs all the time. September 23, 20241 yr I mean, unless you're running a supercomputer, there's almost no way to do full autogen all the way to the horizon. Hopefully it handles things better than 2020, where sometimes the runway lines 50 feet in front of the plane blur out, but I have no expectation that it's going to be ultra sharp 20+ miles away.
