I watched a few minutes of the dev stream just now and was rather shocked to see the level of what can only be called 'abuse' hurled at the devs in chat about the 'quality' of this thing.

Just bought a copy. It's pretty badly done, I feel, but for a bit under 9 GBP I'll take it. I actually rather like the "Barbie" look in the cabin! Hopefully somebody will do at least one repaint that will weather it a bit and stop it looking like a Barbie plane on the outside though.

Aerial Simulations did the F-117. It's not terrible, but not great either, so we will see about systems fidelity on that one.

Despite the overwhelmingly bad reviews and my own low expectations, I bought it (simply because I literally have all the other Microsoft releases as I consider them part of the sim)... I have to say... Yes, it's got a bunch of issues, for sure. But it's not as bad as some make it out to be. I do find it better than Stratoliner, for one. I kind of enjoyed the 5 hour long flight with it earlier and the biggest drawbacks to me are the sounds, the switch covers (because they somehow signify the position of the switch, so you can't actually flip the switches inside, the flight model that seems to be a little touchy. The cabin? Well, I don't look in there. Sure, I wish it was accessible (besides the drone camera) and yes, it should have been modeled better, but... whatever. The textures on the inside and outside aren't beyond the pale. Just passable. The inaccuracies in wing being already flexed on the ground, the transponder, for which the left scrollwheel doesn't seem to work, and the laugable picture on the weather radar are others. But as far as the flight and the engine start goes? No issues. I did an ILS approach into Miami, the aircraft was reasonably well-behaved, though slippery on descent, I wasn't able to maintain under 250 knots below FL100. But overall? I am hoping for improvements, but it's NOT the worst aircraft ever released. That goes to MScenery and CaptainSim. This thing at least isn't a re-skinned 747, for all its faults.

I'd say I don't regret having it. It will, of course, go by the wayside if a better 707 comes along.

The main gripe is no EFB, having to use the dumb weight and balance page in the sim to load the aircraft, the CG balance issues that come with it, etc... Well, and no slats.

The problem is that people do not respect own money - often can read 'it is only 10 USD' ...

That is why such devs still exist and ASOBO feed us with such junk

Totally agree! It's probably the best way to lower the bar and encourage mediocrity! Why  work on quality add ons when you can sell piece of junk cheap and let pockets fill with money 😞

I used to fall Into the “it’s just $15” Canadian, or USD10, but finally started to realize that if I skipped two aircraft that I bought mostly because they were cheap, I could actually buy one aircraft that is well done.

Same here. It may be only £8, but I'd rather donate that to FBW, or set it against my next Just Fight purchase.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Do they? Do you have their Electra? Cause I do. What has prevented them from making that one be a good representation? Not being combative, just genuinely curious to the justification.
