Never seen that guy before, but that's an entertaining stream! The best is the propeller noises, which is actually the joke in Airplane the movie, a 707 flying with propliner noises!!!

Hi guys, i realy love the 707's series I'm not sure now whether I should get it, you can tell me more here (the people who already have it and are testing it) what it is like, does it fly on a flight plan, does it work with the GTN 750, does it fly ILS/LOC, etc, ect ?

cheers 😉

OK, i think i'm jumping of that 707 boat just watched a few more videos and in one they said words not allowed how badly made it is, you could see that in the video too.

Engines are total wrong, textures are worse and bad - not all but most of them, back cabin is just a desaster seen at the video ect., ect.

To be honest, now we have such a good Flightsimulator and that Microsoft then allows such a piece of junk for a release i find almost outrageous because it actually ruins the whole sim.

I really don't think MS should do that - but once again the best example that it's all about money rather than quality and thats a shame for a good Sim MSFS 2020 is now - IMO

And as far as I know there is another 707 in development what gets more detailed, model and system wise so i better wait until this hits the market.

By the way, I don't have the 727 yet and before I get this 707 I'll go for the 727 because the 727 at least promises a certain system depth an much better details and textures and i still need a plane with a halfway working CIVA what i still not have and is long missed ! 😜

cheers 😉

Ironic isn't it when you think that Microsoft take up to two weeks clearing updates to existing products on the MS Marketplace (presumably for quality control purposes).

I don't really want to be ironic but if you see that vid i can not think or say another - sorry !

And if you then consider that the price of 10 or 15 bucks is actually nothing then the product just can't be good - that's a simple logic - but of course everyone likes to see it individually.

And it could also be down to my requirements and, as I mentioned, these are different for everyone.

Perhaps a compromise strategy for MS is to make all "light" aircrafts user moddable. This would allow many tools for users to constantly improve systems and flight modeling. I somewhat miss those wonderful tools that helped many fs 2004 aircrafts become great, high fidelity air crafts Robert Young's Bonanza  and Beech twin come to mind.

Ok.  So I got suckered into buying this.  My own fault as I should have waited for the reviews.

All I will say is that I would advise fellow simmers against buying this.
It is possibly the worst aircraft I have ever purchased for MSFS2020; it is barely up to poor freeware quality, all round, on everything.
Model, Textures, Sounds, Systems - the whole lot, with lots of basic things missing.

At this stage I am wondering if they have accidentally released the wrong version by mistake (you know, the one that wasn't ready about 2 months ago), as otherwise, I don't know what to say, it's disastrously poor.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a refund from the marketplace for this?
It will be a first time doing that for me, but this aircraft is so bad that I just don't want it and I genuinely feel ripped off.
Even if it was for free I would delete it in it's current state.

EDIT:  I have not seen the direct quotes, but apparently there is chatter that the developer says a lot of these things were fixed over a month ago.  So it may be the wrong version.
But in any case, unless there is a better sound set I would still not be interested - it is the most pathetic sound set I have heard in MSFS2020.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Maybe if it is only the sound there will be a bit later on an other soundset from FTSim for the 707, pretty shure about that, for your realistic statement and view about this 707, it definitely applies to my feeling..

But that said, it would be funny if this release would be the wrong Version 😅

cheers 😉

ASOBO for their own reputation should refrain from such alliance or at least should be critic before release risky product.

Artur

One would think that, from a public relations standpoint, there would be some folks from both MS and AH watching the forums and reviews, and respond quickly. It's common sense. I know that they want to record as much as possible before commenting, but a few lines tha awknowledge their presence is always appreciated.

I have installed some very poor quality add-ons, along with many incredibly good ones.  But yesterday was the first time I ever felt that my money was "taken" for something completely unusable and not up the standards of MSFS.

Glancing at the kludge of textures in the 707 cockpit and cabin, it was easy to see so many errors, including LEDs where there should be none, light leaking in from outside, landing gear inside the cabin and lack of any attention to depth and realism, even in the look and feel of the product.  I really wanted to like this one, knowing fully that it would be a basic rendition.  The cabin should not have been modeled at all.  It doesn't even remotely capture the feel of an airliner cabin.

For example, there is another 707 for an older MS platform, released in 2010.  The 15 year old project is lightyears above the current 707 in basic look-and-feel, even features.

I didn't expect INS, FMS or anything in-depth.  However, the nose wheel does not move.  I also could not steer with the tiller.  The aircraft taxied horribly, one moment turning in response to input and the other going straight as if input wasn't applied.

Like many, I was truly excited for this release.  Even after experiencing the problems, I still wanted to like it.  However, I ended up deleting it and will pursue a refund, for the very first time ever.

In spite of this, MSFS has given me so many amazing experiences.  This is just one case that stands out, because I expect better from MSFS (at the end of the day, their name is on the sim), even if it means not approving a product for release.

Best Regards,

Mark

If you watch the official trailer video closely you can see in the landing sequence it appears the stabilizer is trimmed full nose-up and the elevator is also full nose-up and it still smashes into the ground with not enough flair. In every case in the video where it shows the elevator it is trimmed or held nose-up.

Yes, all 300C's had cargo doors on the L/H side fwd of the wing, also a larger extra emerg exit door behind the wing.

Then they need to remove that 300C Boeing house livery because that's not the aircraft they've modeled. But to be honest, that's the least of their concerns. I don't own it, but it's clear to see it's been rushed out the door as they wanted to get the last of the FS2020 DLC out before FS2024 releases.

Asobo, if maybe against doing 30 aircraft, you do 15-10?, with more quality and efforts, and double-triple of the price if you want ofc. A pity, those aircraft doesn´t deserve that bad treatment. If not, maybe better do ones like the DC-10 Hospital, something like going to watch it like a museum, I would spend more time in them and observing them in the Sim, than in its present "flying" situation.

Considering that the 707 is included in the msfs2024 aviator version, I was tempted to buy this version.

But this 707 seems so bad that this solved my problem as I won't buy it unless it's on sale one day.

So I will buy msfs 2024 premium deluxe. If one legend aircraft is usefull for me and seems nice (like the ATr was), it's better to just buy this aircraft.
