  1. 1. Will you keep using MSFS 2020 for as long as it is supported ?

    • Yes, for sure - at least for as long as my addons are fully ported to 2024 and assuming I will like 2024 after getting hand-on experience...

Havent't touched 2020 for more than a week now. Fenix and career mode in 2024 are good enough to keep me busy for the foreseeable future.

I imagine this didn't age well 😁. I haven't installed 24 yet and really see no reason to.  Despite assurances from so many folks on the Internet, it appears that not only will ALL of my add-ons n

  • Nope, zero reason. I reinstalled Windows few weeks ago and haven't even installed MSFS 2020 again and have no intentions of setting all that up again. Got a lot on my plate right now but happily just

  • I think you just have to look at how busy the FSX forum is here (even the FS9 forum for goodness sake) to see how some people like to cling on to what they know.

Maybe 2024 will be ready for prime time in about a year, we will see, but in  the meantime, 2020 does everything I need it to do, with no hassles at all.

with MSFS 2024's enhanced visuals and fluidity, combined with the excellent quality of third-party aircraft like the IniBuilds A330 and Fenix A320, it's a no going back to msfs 2020 for me.

The biggest disappointment comes from the user interface, which is terrible, especially for selecting aircraft in free flight.

Hope asobo will fix all issues at some point and support the platform in the long run as they did in msfs 2020.

VR bugs are a joke in 2024.  Staying on 2020 until they get ironed out.

Based on how rapidly the FS2020 outage thread escalated on the official forums there are still a significant number of people using it...  😉

The Poll here while much smaller seems to indicate the same.

User numbers on SteamDB suggest they're pretty even currently, be interesting to see how much MSFS24s numbers potentially climb with the next two patches this & next week.

2020 has been working great for me. Zero stutters or headaches. Took me all of 5 minutes to set up my controls for my 777 also. Its taken 4 years to get here and I'm going to enjoy this wave for at least another couple of years. I think the Bluebird 757 is a far more attractive proposition than the Ini A330 anyway. The only thing that would sway me to a move to 2024 would be the A350 and even at that Ini will have to raise the bar and I wouldn't count on them doing that.

I'm still on it, 2024 in my account just not downloaded yet.

I was waiting for a few days to see how things went with the new sim...looking at it I am sooo glad I did and now those few days have gone to probably the new year.

I will of course go over but not yet, still needs a lot of work by the looks of it.
