Looks like it is coming out soon, if iFly is releasing it to streamers.

Is it expected that they will do other derivative of the max?

Just the max 8 at this time.

I wonder if WX/terrain are functional. Can't tell from the stream

Blackbox is also impressed with the sim. He's a real world pilot and I know he is type rated for the 777/787. I've seen some people say that he used to fly the 737 as well.

It looks like the Fenix might be getting some downtime.............

Toilet seat raises, I'm sold 🙂

In all seriousness looks incredibly feature rich, their products were very akin to Fenix in that they are a labor of love...  Personally hoping they come with hardware customization capabilities day 1 and I can use my VRi overhead, opencockpit modules and if I remember correctly even in P3D their EFB's were capable of being displayed on a tablet, hope that is still the case but I could be confusing that last part with the QW787.

Have a Wonderful Day

I caught the end of Blackbox's stream. He said it was not overly-sensitive in the flare (a good thing), and it flew the RNAV approach fine.

He also just said it flew the VNAV perfectly for him. He is really enjoying the iFly Max.

Honest question: if i'm satisfied with PMDG's NG, is there any substantive reason to get a MAX? Particularly given Asobo's pending version?

FWIW, I would be asking the same question if this was PMDG's own MAX.

For me vs the 737NG, it’s because there are airlines that fly the Max that don’t fly the NG, and/or they use the MAX for flights that the NG can’t do (ie long distance flights).  The sounds of an NG vs MAX are quite different too.

I remember that the ifly was always really good at modeling hand-flying on their aircraft from p3d. Definitely looking forward to trying this one out. There still some bugs and inaccuracies here and there, but looks to be very solid overall.

I was looking at this with a skeptical eye but i have to say its looking impressive. I would like to see an RNAV/RNP-AR  approach and if it does that well i think i will be picking this up as long as its not resource heavy and the price is right.

Also are they using navigraph for their database or the Sim's database ?

RNAV/RNP AR capability is there (and has been for some time with iFly 737s) and Navigraph is used.

Do you know if it flies the curves well?
