Only a Sith deals in absolutes. Obi Wan would have something to say about that.

Indeed. I wish there was a separate thread for discussing the iFly exclusively without these constant PMDG comparisons

Ah, I see. So if they're not with you, are they against you?

I can't honestly care less if you're with me or against me. It's not about me.

The jaded, aggressive, often insulting, and most definitely dismissive (of their work) attitude I've seen toward developers from people who haven't ever developed an executable in basic is something that should never be normalized or considered acceptable. That is all.

I "develop" liveries...and yes....development at the level we're at these days is a massive undertaking.

Yep. People don't even understand how much hard work it is to create something considered "simple" like a livery at a good level of detail and precision.

Let alone entire airliners.

No need to wish. Please open it. I'm sure it won't be considered a duplicate of this one, since the intent of this one was very different than simply discussing iFly.

I guess you will have commercial interests directly or indirectly with certain developers because if it's about you since you take things that in theory have nothing to do with you personally.

Ah, yeah, one needs to have "commercial Interests" to advocate respect for developers who work their rears off to make our toys and have kept this hobby alive for decades, because that's totally not what a decent person would do without needing any sort of incentive, right? 🙄

Some comments around here seriously make me facepalm. 🤦‍♂️

Take a break, man. You've been posting so much here hammering away at the same message that maybe some time away would do some good.

Credentials fallacy.  That is all.

Does this thread need to go the same direction because of the same individual(s)? I'd expect some moderation here (pun intended).

That's a separate thing though... Example... I purchased FSS E175 through Just Flight. Unfortunately, the download through JF makes you download the Aerosoft One storefront app and it's installed through that. Similarly, this can be iFly's own installer but to get the installer, you'd have to make the purchase through Flight1's app.

This was just posted when the question was asked. Looks like we won't have to use the Flight1 Agent.spacer.png

The product continues to get better. A330 Driver had more complaints than other streamers on his first flight, but very few very issues on his most recent flight.

How is the GSX integration ? Just did a PMDG flight with the 737-700 and its getting better with GSX but not near Fenix.

Day one purchase here - any Norwegian liveries ?

Looks like its going to be real solid product. My only question now is when is the darn thing going to release and only all the (privileged) streamers are showcasing it to the mass potential customers? Some folks are really getting frustrated (don't have it in my hands yet comments like stop teasing us) who maybe wants to buy it and give it a go. Crazy some people lose interest real easily these days.

He flies long haul (as the name suggests). These people have quite some free time, especially when they have no family or other hobby

I have a few friends who do the same thing .  Let’s say during layover has at least one free day at the destination. You  are telling me that single guy carries with him entire gaming PC in suitcase just to make a stream? Ok let’s say he is  on week on week off schedule. So yes once a week video would be a thing but not every other day! Lol

I love sim too but when I have chose to rest before next flight or to sim the answer is obvious- safer first
