says who PMDG??? of course they would say that , More like they used 90% to port and rewrite 10% to make it compatible with MSFS

No, that post is in reference to Fenix. They had the base code of the ProSim A320, but ended up re-writing 80% by the time the A320 v2 block 1 was released.

After watching 2 videos with full flights with this bird I have to say the price tag is too high.

At least at this point. VNAV in decent is not ready for release, the engines spool up way too fast and there is lots of other minor unfinished stuff.

If you want customers to pay PMDG level pricing, you have to deliver PMDG level system functionality or at least polish upon release.

And the release candidate they reviewed is not up to those standards.

I don't doubt that it will get there, but if you aim for the high price range, you can't release unfinished and unpolished aircraft like that. It should cook another 3-6 months. Or they should drop the price by 30 bucks.

I don't believe they said it was the release candidate.  It was emphatically a pre-release version for review which gives the wider audience to see what is on offer but also for the more technical reviewers to flush out those things which need fixing.

Good luck with that! I have a house there too but fortunately am not living in it right now. Stay safe!

I was talking more of the Fenix.

This is absolutely not true. And it isn't even close to the truth.

It is because they even admitted using sounds from the 737 on the Triple 7

If you unironically think 90% of PMDG's aircraft for MSFS are recycled from P3D, you're simply out of your mind or have never seen PMDG's aircraft other for MSFS, P3D, or both.

So, let's talk about who's out of their minds...

The 3d model of the 737 cockpits in PMDG are a pixel-for-pixel ports from P3D. Limitations in the autoflight systems (and even bugs) were almost exactly the same as they were in P3D and PMDG when it was released for MSFS. The fact that it was also released without an EFB, still has no opening cockpit door, no weather radar, same sounds, same NAV database, etc, etc, etc as P3D.

Yes, many things have been, and continue to be, updated since release and PMDG 737s are the plane I fly most by far, but let's not get confused that it has progressed little from P3D.

Are those all just "unironic" coincidences? And I gotta ask? Are you getting paid to defend vendors and insult your fellow flight simmers? Because it seems that's all you do.

Like the person after you posted the most definitely is. Owned every single PMDG aircraft since FSX even the renamed NGXU. The fact files from P3D are in it says it all. No point reasoning it will just end up like the Aerosoft thread. You obviously didn’t read correctly the 90% I referenced if I was you go back and read.

I'm not buying anything else until MS2024 has been released. Who knows how long it will take for the likes of PMDG and Fenix to get their installers to allow me to install their planes into the new sim? And at what cost? Ditto all the third party airports I've bought from the likes of OrbX and Contrail etc. No, no. I need to see the whites between their eyes! Edit. Ditto all those with DRM such as Just Flight, Leonardo, Aerosoft etc etc etc 2nd Edit. I now wish that I'd bought everything from the Marketplace.

And your software bona fides consist of what, exactly...?

Statements like that indicate : utter lack thereof.

I thought iFly developers stated that if you buy their 737 for 2020, 2024 upgrade will be free.

They left the door open to revise that with caveats based on the unknowns of 24 I believe.

All of which is quite concerning as Asobo/MS say addons should work fine but it doesn't sound like any add on developers actually have the 24 sim to confirm that...

So it "sounds like" it is essentially being developed in a vacuum if even Marketplace developers like PMDG can't confirm there products will indeed work without issues.

That's my reading between the lines though.

Have a Wonderful Day
