I am going to wait to see how much individual planes from the higher tiered versions cost before I decide which version I want. While there are more detailed airports, there are not many planes that I want in the higher tiered versions. If the individual planes are rather inexpensive, I will just buy the Standard version and then purchase those planes that I am interested in from the higher tiered versions. On the other hand, if the individual planes are rather expensive, naturally, I'll just go ahead and purchase the higher tiered version that includes the plane(s) that I want. October 18, 20241 yr I will wait and see until my favorite (3rd Party) addons are compatible before I purchase MS2024.

October 18, 20241 yr I won't touch it until it's ready. MSFS is working perfectly, with all the addons i like at the moment, i'm not going to ruin the experience by jumping into 2024 way too early, since i'm not a fan of "default" aircraft even at the level they're currently at. I have absolutely no idea how long it will take to become usable with all (most) the aircraft i use currently, but it should be by then that i will start considering the move. I'm sick of unfinished software. So i'll jump in if/when it's in a state i accept it as "finished". I am a software architect myself, so i unfortunately know how sometimes we have to throw unfinished pieces of software out in the open against our will because of "business requirements". Sad. October 18, 20241 yr No Prepurchase here either, will see how it goes - especially with people's internet connections. Zero advantage to getting it prior to release, it's not like you have to wait for the postman before you can get up and running .. .. October 18, 20241 yr very little incentives in my experience to pre-purchasing in the digital-era, unless you're someone who NEEDS to be playing it the second it's released will buy within 24-48 hours probably once the the 12 year olds have stopped hammering the MS servers and bitching about lack of download performance not even thought about which version yet 😄

October 18, 20241 yr The main practical benefit of pre-purchases these days is to avoid or lessen the chances of hiccups in the purchasing systems due to overload on day 1 or 2, I guess? It might also pre-download the client-side code before release day?
