Well, now it is even more obvious how below standards the jetway system of MSFS is, allowing only a single jetway per plane. Hopefully this limitation will be gone in MSFS (dream on...) or at least fixable by 3rd party like GSX.

we've had an a380 for 5 minues! 😁

give the MS team some time

  • I would say with a high margin of safety that this is the biggest community achievement in the history of Flight Simulation as a whole, and not even by a small margin.

  • click spot to disable the cabin. I found it helped a bit with VRAM performance

  • So far I am mind blown. It seems to be much better than I've expected. I still need to do a full flight on it, but just playing a bit with the avionics I can see that a lot of effort has been put into

We‘ve had a 747 and 787 for 4 years…

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Have you flown Airbus before?

Yes

Looks like I need to work through more Settings.

ok fair enough

As they said the climb performance is totally not right at the moment. And by that I really mean totally. It's insanely overpowered.

I'm not complaining, just observing what they warned us would happen.

Yep, from start runway EDDF to 38000 feet tooks 10 to 11 mins with a TOW from 428000kg - think thats not real but also i think we get that updated soon, and to say i love that Baby.

Also the FMC is nice to work on, fine work FBW 👍

cheers 😉

it has trouble maintaining cruise altitude, goes up & down the whole flight

Yep, see this on my first long flight aswell, the airplane continuously goes up and down slowly at alt cruise !

Following looking from the outside..

cheers 😉

There is a thread for that already

That thread is clearing up confusion from someone who thought the 380 has 4 reversers when it only has 2. It doesn't give the setting to trigger the reversers.

It gives the link to the extensive FBW documentation

i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

So took off and on climb when flaps retracted the plane just pitched up and stalled couldn't push nose down then I lost the middle lower screen that does all the cabin/fctrl menus etc. It has promise but I'll go back to the 777 for my long hauls.

I have a 2080 card and as expected, A380 is very resource heavy on my aged card. Does having a card like 4070TI Super help things in regards to the A380?

Compared to yours, definately. In general, with this add on? Not that much. I have seen tons of streamers, who really don't have modest setups, struggle with VRAM overruns and performance dips.

Thanks for the feedback. Lets hope FBW team will further optimize this awesome addone

Set up the textures resolution to high and planned a LIRF/EDDF flight, the fps are good with my 3080, VRAM at limits. This FBW A380 is very interesting, and I had a very good managed clb crz and descent, and appr with an included autoland.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Until I got to KORD, it ran very smoothly even on my 3070Ti. And at KORD, once a few initial stutters happened about halfway through the STAR, it calmed down and ran fine. And this was in VR at 4k-equivalent.

they're pretty but I turn this off as I find it distracting and it must affect performance

same with disalbing graphical options that reflect what you would see through a camera lens and not the naked eye

It’s distracting in real life too when you’re looking through the windshield and can see reflections in it.

Looks bang on how it does IRL.
