  • Crazy. Absolutely no benefits to removing MSFS 2020 so quickly. Just like every new release in Flightsim history, it will be months before the new sim is truly ready.

  • I run 2020 using addon linker to allow me to use a different community folder location.  I plan on installing 2024 to a different drive, and start from scratch without addons.  I don't plan on pointin

THIS! And I modded it with the glitter farting rainbow mod that will not be compatible for a long time as the glitter particle flux capacitor is not supported by the 2024 sdk yet. Asobo admitted its a critical showstopper and logged the bug but yeah, we all know that it will take around 4 years to get it fixed.

I will not be uninstalling MSFS 2020 until just before I install MSFS 2024 (and when that will be is anyone's guess). I have zero interest in having both of them installed at the same time.

It might be wise to wait with uninstalling until AFTER MSFS2024 is installed and running. Otherwise you might end up having no sim at all...

I won't be uninstalling 2020 nor will I purchase 2024 until all the issues are ironed out and all my fleet/add-ons work in 2024. It may take 6 months or more and that's ok, I'm not in a hurry as 2020 performs great and stable.

People get excited and do silly stuff when something much more new and shiny comes around.

Unless folks were absolutely sick and tired of MSFS 2020 and would rather never touch the software again and push through 2024 early teething issues.

Not uninstalling anything for a long time....

That is not the way I work. I uninstalled P3Dv4 completely last year before I installed MSFS 2020.

Glad I didn't uninstall MSFS 2020! 😛

Have fun when you uninstalled MSFS2020. I didnt and instead of hurting myself with this installation desaster I am off flying around in a fully evolved sim using all my addons without issue.

Launch of MSFS 2024 went horribly wrong at least here in UK with many users unable to either download or login into session. This is one of the many many reasons why one should not uninstall MSFS 2020 just yet.
