November 20, 20241 yr I bragged yesterday about how I believed deleting MSFS 2020 was the right thing to do and just TRUST Microsoft to give us a great product that I could fly. I apologize for being so confident. I should have listened to so many of you who said...Wait, and see if everything works first. I was wrong and I'm very sorry for not listening to all of you.
November 20, 20241 yr Yes wait, relax, enjoy a coffee, tea or beer and keep flying in 2020. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
November 20, 20241 yr I hadnt planned on using 2024 for a few weeks so I could get all my custom configs sorted out and setup - and see how things went on the initial rollout. No idea it would be this bad.......so far 2020 seems fine - there had been some reports of connection issues but I havent seen that.

Nothing wrong with that. You're deleting for the spare space and anticipating unwanted and unpredictable "technical confusions" between the two sims. However, been trying to fire up MSFS2020 since an hour ago but no avail Edited November 20, 20241 yr by History DA B760M PRO4 | i5-13400F | RTX 3060 12 GB | G.Skills Ripjaws 32GB | MSI MAG A550BN | Ace Power 1 TB NVMe | Cooler Master Hyper 212
November 20, 20241 yr Worst thing anyone could do. I get most are hyped about a release but they clearly did not learn from the 2020 release. Maybe if they release MSFS 2028 the same happens again.

When I read your post yesterday this was all I could think of lol. Hopefully you didn’t nuke it entirely.
November 20, 20241 yr I'm glad I deleted it for it'll give me some time to finally play some other games iike Return to Monkey Island, UBoat or Derail valley while waiting! 😁

My mistake.
November 20, 20241 yr If disk space wasn't a problem, then I was wondering why the absolute desire to delete 2020 when one could have both installed 🙂 ... if disk space is a problem and you deleted it, then it must've been due to an absolute need to use the sim from day 1? I planned to only buy+install 2024 after a couple of weeks, and definitely keeping 2020 around until all 3rd party aircraft of importance to me are at least compatible with MSFS 2024. Ah, don't worry about it, we've all been there. I once accidentally deleted some custom NHL93 hockey leagues I had painstakingly created, and not backed up. At least with MSFS2020, you can always reinstall it. It's only time spent/wasted for you to reinstall. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
November 20, 20241 yr I know I fell for the hype, despite prior experiences. I salute your owning it. I was thinking about starting a Angry Thread just to blow off some steam, but I think I'll try to finish Baldur's Gate instead...that should eat a week or two.
