Dude, this is the MSFS 2020/2024 area, post your stuff in the right forum - I guess this is FS9/FSX?

very nice; are you using any of the trees addons ??

Wow, that is awful, but I'm seeing similar on YT. One Youtuber who does like scenic tour videos says hes staying with 2020 as MSFS 24 is a down grade in many areas he flys....

Of course it's all related to server problems (my internet connection is superb) but man... this is really bad...! Didn't see THIS coming, I have to say.

This is what I get, in that area.

That's worse than running FS9 in my old laptop with an Intel iGPU, and no AF! 😂

I am extremely jealous...

BTW The textures also won't load after a while. In fact, I restarted the sim three times in the meantime and always get the same results. Perhaps... I need to clear the cache... Up to now I always loaded ENR. Perhaps MSFS thinks 'You already loaded that scenery' and loads bad stuff from disk.

I will clear the cache and load another Airport.

Unfortunately there are not only problems in the Norway scenario and I don't understand why they released MSFS 2024 knowing full well that there would be a comparison with MSFS 2020 which, IMHO, is much more complete and does not have problems like those that since this morning, when I managed to download it, I made three short flights and immediately had "insufficient bandwidth" and I have 1Gb, found trees ... phosphorescent in the KJFK airport one of the very few "real" scenarios with a collapse of fps compared to what I have on 2020 where I do not go below 40 fps, a Las Vegas under ... construction and had never occurred on 2020, two CTDs.

The idea of streaming an entire game to save on install space when storage is the cheapest it's ever been per/GB and the fastest makes no sense to me

Yes.  My NVMe can load in at 7500mbs, but streaming from an overloaded server every time is the new way apparently.

What about those on a slow internet connection? Is the sim realistically out of reach for them now?  I used to have an 8mbs connection but at least I could download and install things overnight on to my SSD.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

It'll look great once you've cached the necessary 2TB of files the sim needs to look good that's the beauty of a streaming game it looks great without filling up your hard drive... Oh wait... ðŸĪ”

That’s for those with difficult characters, even MSFT can do no magic in your case 😉
