Both include also MSFS2020 but the majority has the MSFS2024 flag...

  • I have a hotfix its called MSFS2020.

  • Well I'm moving over to Train Sim World 5, for a while.  If I am going to watch a train wreck, I might as well be in the right simulator for it.

  • Well, all of this chaos was fully expected (by me). That's why waiting and watching all of it unfold. Pretty similar to FS2020 on release.

I hope the hotfix is at 50GB. Seems a lot of fixin’ is needed.

I suppose most content related bugs (aircraft etc) can be fixed in the cloud. I hope they have thought of how to make sure all cached items local devices get updated as well.

Flightsim rig:
CPU: AMD 5900x  | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL
Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906
Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking

The one good thing about a cloud/server centric software system like MSFS 2024 is that fixes can be pushed out more frequently just to the server-side (hopefully), without having to go thru the more time consuming process of releasing client-side updates.

What support told you this?  It seems to counter what they told Tom's...  This was as of 16 hours ago.  Curious where the OP got his information.

MSFS 2024 database is still overwhelmed, and Microsoft has no timeline for fixing it.

I don't remember it being this bad with 2020 four years ago.😶

I would love to believe this but it seems to counter the publicly available information and I have not seen any official communication from the MS/Asobo team a quick fix is incoming...  Not doubting you at all to be clear just doubting the message from a support tech answering tickets...

Impressed they got back to you so quickly though, I can't get support like that for any MS product LOL...

Regarding the scenery blurriness you can't fix fatally flawed project design with a hotfix.

The sim will look wna until the data required is actually ON your machine.

ie INSTALLED LOCALLY.

You can call it a cache or an installation directory. It's the same thing. Thin clients only work for viewing data the size of which has been designed by the developers of that system to be categorically and tested BELOW minimum constant data rate between server and client nodes.

It will NEVER look good live until it is cached which is then NO LONGER BEING STREAMED.

I believe this fail will be included in future case studies for software project design.

You can't patch HUBRIS.

very nice.

MS officials and support said and promised SO MUCH. "soon" is an elastic term.

How could they decide risking to lose the MOST important thing when you have something to sell?

Trust. Gone.

back then we had a closed alpha/beta of the complete product running several months. not just a totally stripped down Alpha over just 1 weekend. its sole purpose was to hammer their servers and testing of telemetry and exactly that was not working on release day November 19th.

I would assume the hotfix is for other bugs that are not related to server issues? (Those exist too... 😉
