Is this a good or a bad thing? because all they do is just stand their anyways looking clueless and ridiculous with no sense of purpose or just commit suicide by getting ran over by multiple aircraft anyways on their wrong doing just getting in the way. No reason given for their disappearance, but hopefully they will come back from vacation some day. Every time I land my GA plane, in my MSFS 2024 Steam version, there is a guy in a yellow vest with two wands waving me to the correct parking location. I can turn him on and off with options. Is he not a marshaller? Not to be argumentative, but none of those workers have batons, and not one of them is a marshaller who brings a plane in to park such as you see in Fielders video above. We did have them in 2020, and I assume they are still there, but they are not in 2024, for whatever reason. Ken
March 26, 20251 yr Author Guess what! They are back from vacation, was pleasantly surprised on my flights today to find baton waving marshallers waiting to park me at my spot. And, the levitating guy on the pushback cart has decided it's better to stand on the cart as he should, so that was another plus! Little fixes, but nice to see them! Ken

They have been missing from 2024 since day one, but as of the new SU2 beta are now back in. Great to see them, it's a nice touch to finishing a flight. Ken
March 27, 20251 yr Ken...You saw marshals in MS2024? which airport? I haven't seen any. Ohh, there in the beta?

Where do I turn this off in 2024?, I usually fly from/to rural strips and having these blokes wandering around in high viz is very out of place

Is it perhaps due to it being largely streamed? and that the content being provided can vary between individual installations based on parameters that we all have no grasp of? It happened in 2020 to a lesser extent. Edited March 27, 20251 yr by Rusty Spanner
March 27, 20251 yr Was this a bug or did asobo deliberately leave them out due to the terrible performance of the sim. Hard to understand how all the optimisation and new coding could have resulted in performance significantly worse than msfs2020 when Jorg was saying during testing how much performance had increased. Significantly worse? The performance impact of 4000x polygon density comes at a cost of course and yet despite that frame rates are largely the same in both sims here which means performance has increased substantially in 2024.
