November 30, 20241 yr I just saw this stream recording from Into the Blue, who I believe is a real life Airbus pilot. He originally made a very negative review of the iniBuilds A321 for MSFS 2024. But iniBuilds saw his stream and saw that he had made his assessment off of unrealistic configurations for his first use of the A321, so they reached out to him to help him fix the problem. Anyways, Into the Blue did a second review of the iniBuilds A321 again with the recommended changes from iniBuilds, and upon his second flight in the A321, he had a much better experience: I think this goes to show that some of our experiences based on MSFS 2024 depends on whether we can configure things correctly, at least for Free Flight (yes, Career Mode has a ton of bugs, but Free Flight is in a much better state than Career Mode). Now configuring things correctly also includes getting your control inputs and bindings right, and this is not easy for MSFS 2024, but if you can get it right, I think you will have a much better time in Free Flight in MSFS 2024 (I wrote this thread on how I setup my controls/inputs for MSFS 2024 and it wasn't too difficult for me at least, if you are already familiar with all the MSFS 2020 terminology for controls/inputs). i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
November 30, 20241 yr I never trust the so called "real life pilots", they are beginners when talking about a flight sim. Just an expert flight simmer can understand the potential of a new sim. Since day one I tried al the FS24 liners and I found a very good potential, they need to be improved, but very enjoyable and close to a studio level paid software. November 30, 20241 yr Generally, I feel like the opinions across the board are changing in a more positive direction already. As servers have settled down, people are getting things ironed out, controls set up, Fenix became available and everyone slowly feeling the improved flight dynamics, seeing the improved visuals and at least feeling the core of the sim has a lot of potential, the atmosphere has changed. More and more content creators with a pilot background seem to give high praise to the flight dynamics in the Fenix, which is a massive win. Obviously still a long way to go and still has the usual negative nancy types but it isn't as insufferable being around the various communities as the first week. November 30, 20241 yr Most of these videos are just random click-bait, basically "shoot from the hips" videos to get views. Best is to ignore all of them, until the sim has matured.

Well, most of the time that used to be the case, but there are nowadays more RW pilots, professionals and not only, who are also avid simmers. The same has happened with ATC controllers. IVAO and VATSIM are good examples. I know at least one controller who used to be a very active IVAO member, and did what he does for job also at home "playing being a virtual ATC" 🙂 A few RW pilots I know use both MSFS and X-Plane. One in particular is an airline captain with experience in various types since decades, now in the 320 and 321 LR, and has invested in an "home cockpit" where he practices for his RL flights. He surely knows how to talk about the specifics of flight simulation because he's not flying just for the job, but in the very first place for the Passion, both IRL and while simming. I've learned a LOT with him just watching his streams in a private Discord group. I'm just too old and tired to learn stuff and spend hours flying RW routes in front of the desktop - I fall asleep when I try 🙂 - otherwise all of the precious details I learn each time we talk about his professional experience, even in other airliners like the A310 and the L-1011, I always feel that if just this chance to get so much information happened some 20 years ago I could probably have decided to make a 180º turn in my professional life ... I would never consider a video from "into the blue" - CLICKBAIT - he just happens to be one of the most concise and accurate - no nonsense reviewer on U-tube. His statements at the end - admitted his errors - and apologized publicly to Ini Builds - showed his best side -----"Clear Prop!"
November 30, 20241 yr so that's a review of an Aircraft and not the sim\game as a whole? if so your title is misleading in anycase I take everything he says with one big pinch of salt - as others have said click bait. in the mean time I'm waiting an age for textures to load - oh 2024 is fantastic. November 30, 20241 yr Interesting topic - I am keeping a close eye on 2024 progress and it is should I say "progressing but at a steady rate" but it isn't there yet for me to make full transition. There are still 100s of bugs and errors according to people who have installed 2024 that needs to be fixed. Will continue to keep an eye on its progress and where it will lead.

I'm not all negative though - I'm currently having a lot of fun in the Chinnock. November 30, 20241 yr Good to know that iniBuilds will personally help individuals that are having problems. Does anyone have a good contact number that I can call? I saw a video from a RW pilot who said that although he can now get into 2024 and fly he considers it buggy. He says he uses 2020 for serious flying and 2024 for taking screenshots. He thinks that 2024 will be ready in a year or two.

In my opinion FS24 will be ready for take off with updated studio level aircrafts in weeks. But I'm already satisfied with FS24 and FS20 is not anymore installed on my pc. November 30, 20241 yr I like planes not pilots I take RW commentary with a grain of salt. MSFS24 working good just finished 10 hr longhaul no issues. Edited November 30, 20241 yr by MikeH99

Apparently these so called pilots are either hard up for extra cash or looking for notoriety on YouTube. They think they know something about flying so they try to tell US what is right and wrong with a game! Seriously I think real professional pilots should stick to what they know best! It's definitely not critiquing MSFS2024 on YouTube. I for one wouldn't waste a lick of time watching these so called experts! If they can't figure out how to setup controls in MSFS2024 what does it say about there ability to troubleshoot a real problem in a real flight?
