You can't let Margo Robbie off the hook just because she's wearing lingerie while stabbing your mum - LOL!!

He did mix a ton of humor in. I laughed quite a few times lol.

The video is direct and to the point, of course the defenders of the indefensible will call it "click bait" purely because they come to a predetermined conclusion even though they haven't watched it!

Ultimately let's see if MS/Asobo actually learn from this experience, they need too.

Although the thumbnail does seem 'click-baity', I thought it was quite a balanced review overall.

It really was! He definitely points out the good and the bad, in a hilarious way.

I'm not usually into this type of review, but this bloke is spot on....and a little hilarious at the same time.

He definitely nailed it.

I thought all you "haters" went back to MSFS 2020?

I guess you guys must not be doing much flying, since you have all this time to scour the internet for clickbait videos. 😄

Welcome to 2024. There is this thing called a feed. It just showed up. Isn’t technology awesome?

I rest my case.

Me too! Anything i wanted to say he nailed.

Haha indeed....

100% cloud gaming means you never know if today is the day you can use MSFS2024 to its's full protentional or ......But IF it works....

At least we can laugh about this debacle for a change.

I must admit though the circlejerk is getting kinda fun to watch 🙂 Especially when some participants start to throw around wild predictions and speculations akin to those that got thrown around in the early days of 2020. Especially fun are those who are still on 2020, not bothered to get 2024 (which is perfectly fine), but still insist on validating themselves by dumping on 2024 where possible (which is perfectly funny).

You have to admit that video was pretty funny, and really well done. That guy has talent. Of course ONE DAY Asobo and MS will fix enough things to make MSFS 2024 enjoyable, and hopefully that isn’t YEARS AWAY like in MSFS 2020! But their incompetence isn’t turning me into a free alpha tester. Not this time.

It is also laced with a lot of humor.

This is just more YouTube clickbait garbage. Using the word "Pathetic" in the title shot is certain to add shock value to get people to click on the nonsense! I won't be baited.

No one can perfectly sum up the game for all of us! It's hard to understand why anyone even would click on these nonsense videos.

MSFS2024 as I know it for my use does work at an acceptable level and will most likely improve over time. As I've said before it as simple as sticking with MSFS2020 if one is not happy. Simple as that!

Okay! You have spoken so i guess that is the end of it!

I've bought and installed 2024. It's right about where I thought it would be at this point. I didn't buy 2020 until most of the forum started giving it the thumbs up. Somewhere around SU3 I believe, early February, 2021. Even then, it still was 100%.

2024 will get there, too. Over time, it will mature into a great sim. Hopefully, it won't take too long and will be worth the wait.

I find that other people’s opinions rarely matter to my personal enjoyment or not.

Equally, I don’t expect my opinion to matter to other people’s enjoyment of whatever sim they use.

So in the holiday season, do whatever makes you happy! It doesn’t matter in the slightest as long as you are having fun.

2024's path to maturity will be significantly different to 2020's path to maturity IMO. With 2020, the fundamentals needed to solidify, along with the bug fixes, and also the 3rd party dev community needed to get familiar enough to start producing hi fidelity content (especially aircraft).

With 2024 the fundamentals are already there and the various improvements to core simulation over 2020 is already clear. It's mostly a matter of the bugs getting fixed, and server infrastructure/capacity being improved (already much better than initial release days). The 3rd party dev community are already mature and familiar with the platform, much more so than they were with 2020 one month after its release. Given where we are one month after release of 2024, I have no doubt the sim platform is going to get there much sooner than 2020 did.. i.e. 1Q25 or 2Q25 is what I'm guessing. It already is a very usable platform for free flights for a lot of us, especially when not laden with lots of 3rd party addons save for the important ones (i.e. 2024 versions of aircraft, etc).

It is actually a very balanced review. About as far from "clickbait garbage" as you can get......but then you would know that if you watched it.

The title is certainly clickbait, unfortunately what almost all YT videos do these days I guess in order to get attention. Also then lessens the content irrespective of how good or useful that content is.

Yes, and they have voiced it and been heard. Over and over again.

You bought a game and it doesn't work the way you want it to. We know. Sorry for your disappointment.

It's two days before Christmas. Now give yourselves a break and be happy you are alive.

I don’t think it’s necessarily that it doesn’t “work the way you want it to” as much as it’s a “it doesn’t work as been advertised and hyped up for a full price product” frustration. The massive amount of disappointment threads and complaints is the same thing that happens when ANY company advertises a great product that then flops and is of low quality.

Keep in mind that MSFS 2024 ground textures are lower quality than MSFS 2020 ar this moment.

This is a kown issue and needs to be fixed by the developer.

The original data is 256x256, If you use the Map Enhancement mod you can choose 512x512.

FSX did not use ground texture streaming but many the ground textures like rocks were 1024x1024…,

First time I think I've ever gotten all the way through a flightsim related yootoob. Good to see somewhere where all words are allowed!

Although I'm using 2024 a lot and am enjoying it immensely I wouldn't argue with the overall verdict. I only ever use free flight and even that is not without its problems. It does look absolutely wonderful, but the "popping" of objects grates, and the PG is a very mixed bag - mostly a lot better than 2020 in my eyes but the PG trees - oh the horror, the horror!

Shame folks aren't talking it all a bit more calmly though, but here we are, it's almost 2025 and that's the way of the world now.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I'm a huge supporter of every iteration going back to the Sublogic days and through P3D with its many incarnations including the repeated OOMs until they went 64 bit. Every incarnation has had problems and criticisms to one degree or another.

I've removed 2020.  So put my money where my mouth is. The fact of the matter the criticisms are warranted. The fact that the market wasn't ready on day one is a joke. And here we are a month later with no market.  I fly mainly commercial planes so a lot of mitigation of issues through 3rd parties like using BATC with its traffic AI and Say intentions. Why 3rd party developers like Fenix, PMDG etc, the plane developers, are not enjoined much earlier than release has been a constant problem.

Suffice it to say that in the gaming market patience is never a virtue unless the developer makes it explicit that the game is in early access form. Not doing so is just asking for trouble and justified criticism.
