I started using my free premium 50.000 credits today. I started doing this because it sort of annoyed me to see those credits being there and I simply wanted to get rid of them. Never used them before. Basic was good enough for me. Problem now is... that I do think the premium voices are better then the basic ones, haha! They sound more realistic, accents are better and they speak a bit faster too (something that annoyed me with the basic voices). So I started to make a note of the credits I use during every flight. When my credits are gone I might buy ONE package of extra credits (250.000) and then continue this test. However, I do already think it'll cost me more than I am willing to spend... I am testing this with premium voices for me and the AI, so every communication is premium. I'll post my findings here in the future. Edited January 12, 20251 yr by mistolip
January 12, 20251 yr Without premium voices there are 170+ voices already, wich are really good in my opinion, regional related! I fly only with them and it's the best I ever had without spending further money for AI voices Regards, Marcus P.
January 12, 20251 yr Another question, is the AI traffic airliners only or does it have small GA traffic too?

January 12, 20251 yr I've been really impressed with BeyondATC. I've found it adds so much to the immersion and less stress/aggro than doing a flight on VATSIM. Especially with the traffic injection, I've just spent probably an extra 15 minutes post flight just sitting at the gate watching the traffic - there is even a separate map you can download where you can track them! I have had some issues this weekend though with it not recognising voice and also sometimes not able to communicate at all with the Premium voices. This is usually coupled with an error suggesting it's not able to contact the speech server or words to that effect. Switching back to Basic Voices seems to cure this, but hopefully they can fix this soon as the Premium voices are better - even if you do have to pay a bit. There were some reports of problems with premium servers on the Discord over the weekend, although it must be a regional / ISP-dependent thing because it was fine for me here in Central Europe. By the way I suggest going to their Discord, the community is huge and they can help/answer many things very quickly For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

The traffic data set has basically every aircraft that flew with a transponder on (so not VFR, but small GA or bizjets in IFR yes), so it would mostly depend on whether you have the models for that (AIG is the only one having GA traffic AFAIK). For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
January 12, 20251 yr 7 hours ago, Kaboki said: but if there was a subscription option like SI I would for sure be more intrested. Using premium voices would just be too expensive the way it is now. But then again if premium voices are that expensive, and BATC devs understand they may get nailed by users who fly a lot such that ultimately they may need to make a subscription price quite high. I guess you're thinking there would be enough more casual users to offset that. Looks like it's currently around $0.50 per flight when pro voices are used. So for me that could get up to as high as $30/month. Probably best to wait until pricing drops w/ this sort of thing and I'm sure it will. January 12, 20251 yr Is there any indication on when the full retail version (1.0?) may be coming out? Maybe this year? Really waiting on this product. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Maybe this year, maybe not (or maybe never because some programs stay in beta forever). But I am not sure why you would want to wait with buying it...? It's very usuable already. What is a 'full retail version' anyway nowadays... Most software is 'early access' or even 'beta' nowadays, regardless of how they call it. MSFS2024 is sold as a full retail version but everyone knows it's EA at best. (Take note that MSFS2024 is the only sim I have installed!) If you are REALLY waiting for BATC then just get it NOW already. Edited January 12, 20251 yr by mistolip

Yeah like above, don't wait. It might be EA, but for that it's very polished. The Traffic Injection really makes it come to life in my opinion, and the ATC instruction, while not always perfect, is very realistic in most instances. I haven't installed BATC yet but checking to see if it's just a case of having FSLTL models installed but not their injector, and turning on traffic in BATC. Is that all there is to it? I don't have a lot of performance wiggle room because I don't use FG so every bit of performance I can muster matters.
