Oh my, the ground textures are massively improved!  Couple of videos below, both using SU1 Beta, DLSS 4 Quality & DLAA.  Those who like a sharp image - get now! First is south East of San Die

I just did this (installed DLSS4 / Preset J) and I have to say it's nice.   I am still running the latest "from the website" driver, 566.36 of Dec 5, 2024, so I might be leaving some perf on the table.   I don't notice any performance problems but then again if you're running a 7800X3D + 4090 it's sometimes hard to notice things like that unless I did some actual testing and started putting numbers together.  If the new driver will give me moar smoothness then I have a good thing to look forward to, although the sim was smooth as could be tonight.   I don't know how it could get smoother.  4K/60 with Frame Gen.

I too am waiting a few days for the new driver to come out.

I think once the driver is out I will finally do some real testing with 2024 and load up ini KJFK and see what's up.

It's interesting that the nvidia app has "optimized" MSFS2024 by having vsync off.  That's fine, it's just a little different than how I've run 2024 (and 2020 before it) where I had vsync on in the nvcpl and off in-sim.   I only ran with vsync OFF when I was performance testing, so that there wasn't any limit on the numbers I might see.  But if 2024 works best with vsync off everywhere, then I'll run it that way.  So far, no stutters...this is just good.   I might need to tweak VC panning once I get everything dialed in.

Thanks, appreciate that. I'm also seeing way lower FPS on the ground than in the air. Didn't notice that before, is that a feature of this beta?

I'm testing MSFS 2024 beta version and haven't noticed any decrease in FPS. I don't have driver 571.96 installed, which still includes DLSSv3 3.8.10.0.

Additionally, I don't have the nvngx_dlss.dll file in version 310.1.0.0 from Cyberpunk.

After making the change with DLSS.Swapper and adding the profile J with the inspector (I haven't installed the cuda driver, I prefer to wait), I have confirmed that it is indeed much sharper and there is a clear performance improvement in Quality mode (compared to TAA or DLAA). But I don't think it can be said that the ghosting has disappeared. I can accept that both the speed and altitude bars are acceptable, but there is still ghosting (as you can see in the IslandSimPilot video).

However, when I try to make adjustments in the G1000, such as the vertical speed, VLC,VS, or QNH or com freq's, due to the size of the numbers, the ghosting makes it almost unusable for me.

I wonder if, as some of you have mentioned, AMD Sharpening or the modification of SecondaryScaling parameter could help reduce it without impacting performance. I can't test it myself right now because I'm trying to solve the 6% Loading language hang issue at startup.

Is the cuda driver a win11 thing? Trying to install the driver on my win10 system and it won't let me uncheck anything. I am still with nvidia cp so, perhaps it sees a need to "update", as it were?

Hmmmm...guess it was just slow to respond to the mouse clicks?? Got the driver loaded, doing a reboot and then we'll see what shakes out.

I'm actually very pleased thus far!  This has had a very positive impact on 2020.

Did the CUDA install with just the driver.  DLSS Swapper to the latest version and wow.

Almost all ghosting/artifacting is gone.  Performance is the best I have ever seen in terms of fluidity.  I may not even need Lossless anymore.

The whole sim feels "sped up" from AI passing on the ground and in the air to passing through and past the clouds and every texture in the sim is sharp and clear.

Hands down the best I've ever seen it.  Been taking pics of what I'm seeing so will try to post later.

Very pleased if this is a sign of what is to come.

Have a Wonderful Day

Overall, very much agreed here. In the 737, ghosting on larger numbers (i.e. MCP, speed and altitude bars on PFD, main engine gauges) is much improved. Very small numbers/gauges can still be a challenge (i.e. QNH preset, minimums), but in an airliner there aren't many like that that you really need to be immediately responsive. I'd say this moves DLSS from previously unusable to now practical. If you have the GPU power then running DLSS with the DLAA setting gives a sharper overall image than TAA for me, less ghosting than DLSS Quality, and looks better overall than anything else.

if you have problems with driver 571.96 installation:

initially this driver v.571.96 wouldn't install properly, PC wouldn't shutdown and screen remained black after reboot except for that blue WAITING circle, forever. Only after I had completely  deinstalled the previous official driver v566.36 and everything else from NVidia I could finally complete 571.96 installation. I am aware of those best practices but perhaps it might help others since I had never ever before to de-install a previous driver.

I just installed 571.96, luckily I didn't have any issues. Decided to update the HD audio driver as well (as audio goes through the HDMI cable from the GPU to the receiver).

Btw how did you uninstall the previous driver? DDU?

I am not experiencing any performance boost. I could have botched the installation process. I followed the instructions posted by island pilot but no meaningful change in frames or picture quality. I updated the graphics driver with no issues. Anything I may have missed? I changed the preset to “J” in Nvidia inspector.

I'm thoroughly blown away.

I have to find my best shots because some of these look almost real.

This is 2020 using 571.96 and DLSS swapper to "DLSS4" which is actually 3.something at least from a file name with almost everything to ultra with Lossless scaling at X2 using LSFG 2.3

I mean not even an artefact and I forgot to even notice the glass screens which indicates they were really good or I would have noticed it LOL.
