Cant see any mention of it but are the camera views available when using a replay? i.e. could I record my landing and then watch from the tower?

I won’t be commenting more on this because everything will be revealed in due time but… This very “feature” is the first thing we got rid of in this new version of CP. It made my blood boil from day 1

We’ve decided to re-code some parts of the app to work better (things like adding support for all F keys and some more quality of life things). As I said before, CP lives at the bounds of the SDK

More news on release date and pricing early next week 😉

**“Honestly, this new ChasePlane update is incredibly frustrating. In the previous version, we could assign camera views globally to the same buttons, and then simply adjust the specific angles for each aircraft. But now, for some reason, every single plane requires an entirely new button assignment from scratch.

Who thought this was a good idea? Seriously, who wants to waste time reconfiguring controls for every aircraft when we already have a standard setup that works? This adds unnecessary complexity to something that was previously smooth and efficient.

And don’t even get me started on SmartView being enabled by default. If I want to use it, I’ll turn it on myself. Forcing it on users is just bad design.

Please, developers, reconsider this approach. The previous method was far more user-friendly. There’s no reason to make things harder for simmers who just want to fly without spending hours on control remapping.”**

Do you have FPS problem with it. I noticed around 10 FPS drop with using it

Right now, you can assign shortcuts to groups, accomplishing a similar outcome. That being said we are getting a lot of requests for Named Assignments to come back so we will bring it back.

Also, Smart View is pretty deep to activate... right-click + left-click is not something you would use on anything I know of so it's really only on purpose that you activate it. Otherwise, how is it in the way? Maybe I'm missing something?

I'm guessing some control customisation at the user end was involved here?

Does anyone get constant "something went wrong" messages that the Bridge module was not working? I barely managed to enter my activation code and order number. Now I am going through the tutorial but this windows keep popping up and I have to restart the tutorial. That's pretty frustrating and makes Chaseplane completely unusable for me. I already lost 2 hours messing with this.

Kevin. Just an FYI, FSL uses right click+left click to start the engine master switches in their A321.

Thanks for considering bringing back the name assignment. I really appreciate it!

As for SmartView, after testing it, I find it quite useful. Initially, I thought it was something else, but I see its value now. However, I might encounter a conflict when using it with aircraft like the Maddog MD-82 by Leonardo Fly, as QMDOS relies heavily on both right and left mouse buttons for various functions in the aircraft. This could lead to unintended interactions.

Would it be possible to change the assignments so that SmartView can work without interfering with those functions?

Regards

Isn’t it left+right click? The order matters here. And as far as I know if you start with the right click, at that point you’re in mouse-look and there is no cursor anymore… If it does conflict we’ll find a solution for sure

You can download the latest build in your account, it should fix this issue. We’re sending update emails this morning.

I'm thinking now maybe it would work, I will check it out in the maddog later.

Fantastic I must say. Finally easy way to control views! 10/10 cockpits from me

Keven,

I confirmed that when using FSL's preferred cockpit interaction method, the Engine Master Switches are controlled by Right Click + Left Click.  This is also true for guarded pushbuttons.  The above methodology is covered in Page 16 of the A321 Introduction Manual.

Bit disappointed that previous Chaseplane users/supporters are not included in this initial release, we are the ones that could possibly give you better feedback, the //42 club seems to be about money thing rather than someone who knows something about the product.

I feel you, it's a "little bit" frustrating. Bought ChasePlane when it was still OldProp, then it migrated to OrbX, rebought ChasePlane Pro. But now it seems only people who bought stuff in the //42 store for a certain amount of money can have it. Why? This store did not exist back in the day.. Is there any ETA for "normal" people and loyal customers from the past?
