Do I really have to set my key bindings every time I change aircraft?

Eg, Capt is set to ALT+0, but I then have to set this in each a/c. I actually have 24 views on Streamdeck, hence my mild annoyance.

This is happening on something like the difference between the Fenix 319/320/321 and, as I just discovered, even switching the 320 from CFM to IAE.

I won’t be commenting more on this because everything will be revealed in due time but… This very “feature” is the first thing we got rid of in this new version of CP. It made my blood boil from day 1

We’ve decided to re-code some parts of the app to work better (things like adding support for all F keys and some more quality of life things). As I said before, CP lives at the bounds of the SDK

You don’t have to, you can assign shortcuts to groups

Sorry, but the “24 groups” solution is simply wrong.

From my experience, these groups must be created per profile, which defeats the purpose. Meanwhile, a far simpler solution would be to assign shortcuts by name.

As a long-time and experienced user of the ChasePlane saga… do you know what finally happened to me?

I got bored.

The moment I realized I couldn’t import a 738 profile into a 737 one without breaking everything, I gave up.

For those of us flying 3 to 6 variants of the same aircraft, redoing shortcuts and personalization for each one is just a waste of time.

With AAO, my shortcuts work across all variants.

I only need to customize the views, not reassign everything every time I switch planes.

Result? I quit ChasePlane and MSFS altogether, and went back to MSFS2024.

This is not the ChasePlane I once loved.

Unfortunately, I have to admit: it was a bad investment on my part.

Is there a way to import a 737-800 profile to the 737-700 for instance and then allow us to “clean up”? Similar to how spad works etc

Is there a release date for this yet? (for those of us who don't have the required membership).

I’s unfortunate you’re jumping to conclusions instead of asking questions about those issues, we would have loved to work this out with you!

Let us know when you want to give it another shot eventually!

What is your definition of cleanup?

It’s pretty easy to import your views and shortcuts across your different variants. Delete all existing views using Ctrl+Alt and import the new ones.

We published this blog post about our first 2 weeks: https://parallel42.com/blogs/news/two-weeks-of-chaseplane-soft-launch-recap

TLDR we still have a few issues to work out before going wide with the release. I expect a week or 2 if all goes well.

Once we’re done with the current issues + wide release, then we’ll be able to focus on porting this to 2024. We’re a few months aways from that.

In prepar3d this was a "must have" for one particular reason...

Never been a great fan of numerous camera views but found it invaluable for setting up individual pilot seat positions for individual aircraft, and that is perfect for me.

Is this feature available in MSFS?

I'm not talking about conlusion, just talking about facts, and is no the first time we talk about the same limitations together.
Chaseplane is not userfriendly anymore at this state and this is not an opinion it's a fact. If msfs limit we can import a 737 to 738 you get back to original camera system where you can just copy camera.cfg to all variants and make little adjustment having the same shortcuts.

Thanks for your Chaseplane for MSFS2020 posts / comments.

I had expected the Chaseplane for MSFS2020 to be “like” Chaseplane for P3D.

Looks like I will not purchase Chaseplane’s current offering.

My Chaseplane information:
Not enough Credits (only $40 purchased directly from Chaseplane) for the //42 Club.

However, I have purchased Chaseplane 3 times:

From Orbx $45 AUD (2021) for my main PC (P3D4/5)

From Chaseplane $40 US (2023) for my main PC (P3D6).

From Orbx $35 AUD (2023) For my second PC.

All of these past purchases are working well.

I bought Chaseplane and I'm really enjoying it. I recommend this video to learn how to use it:

13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber  - MSFS 2024
