March 10, 20251 yr I think it's reasonable to test with a wider audience. Let them test this thing. The price is in line with what I expected. I was hoping less than 30 bucks, but if you consider the add-on is used every sim session, I'm ready to pay that price. Looking forward to it! cheers, NiIs U.AMD 5800X3D | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHz | RTX 4070 12GB @ 1920x1050px
March 10, 20251 yr How long would it take until Chaseplane is released to the general public? As of now, for someone that has never had any Parallel 42 products, I'd have to part with $72 if I want it this week. Not liking that... If that was the end goal then they would have been better off doing a paid early access where you know everyone purchasing is going to provide feedback vs "Club 42" where all you know is they already spent $42 on who knows what from parallel42... Get a targeted audience at least. In any case, can't wait. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
March 10, 20251 yr Commercial Member The last thing we want is for people to have a bad experience. We've tested with around 20 people internally to ensure it works great and everything is covered but issues always show up on the 21st person. Limiting this release to our most loyal users enables us to react quickly to any unforeseen problems and address them before expanding to everyone. This is also why we release on 2020 first. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
March 10, 20251 yr Quick question. Is the product likely to change significantly for 2024? I'm not using 2020 much these days but I'll get this for 2020 and get to grips with it now (not used it before) if doing so is going to provide the ability to get straight into it when the 2024 version comes along. What I don't want to do is learn something that I won't subsequently use. Im pretty sure I purchased CP from OldProp direct many years back I wouldn't expect the transaction to carry forward. I'm guessing this is an entirely new product although I'd be very happy if it could read and import my views from the previous version. I'd expect to have to edit them all anyway but it would be a great time saver. Russell Gough SE London
March 10, 20251 yr Can’t use it with Tobii and can’t use it in 24. Until those two elements are changed, then I can’t see much point in picking this up. It’s a shame really because the physics camera in XP12 is good!
March 14, 20251 yr Finally we have a proper spot plane view and controls that don't lock when you pan. Can't thank the P42 team enough for doing Asobo's job for them. This is an absolute game changer that I have been waiting for since December 2019 Tech Alpha 1. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!

March 14, 20251 yr Waiting until release to general public 🥱😢... In the meantime, for those who could purchase it: is it possible to snap between cockpit views, with no transition at all? Something sort of what was available in the old FSX/P3D Aerosoft buses (which I had replicated for all my aircraft in these sims). Works very well!
