I won’t be commenting more on this because everything will be revealed in due time but… This very “feature” is the first thing we got rid of in this new version of CP. It made my blood boil from day 1

We’ve decided to re-code some parts of the app to work better (things like adding support for all F keys and some more quality of life things). As I said before, CP lives at the bounds of the SDK

More news on release date and pricing early next week 😉

What does Tobii not supported mean exactly, if I use the built in camera views I can still look around with Tobii but not with the chaseplane ones?  In that case I'm afraid I will hold off until that works, I could not imagine not being able to use Tobii, it's absolutely essential to my immersion within msfs.  Hope you find a solution for that!
One of the reasons I won't use 2024 either until that works.

You will get my money when you release it for MSFS 2024, not before. 2020 is uninstalled for some time now.

Just to confirm - does TrackIR and its equivalent (OpenTrack) still work or are they part of the Tobii limitation?

TrackIR and OpenTrack are separate, they both work perfectly. You can even have them enabled or disabled per-view.

Right now, enabling Tobii has no effect on the camera. We know a way to get it in, it's a matter of time.

Definitely for 2024 as well as 2020.

Awesome! For which sim!?

ChasePlane™ will be available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, with a separate version developed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Due to the significant differences in the underlying code between these two platforms, a single unified application isn't feasible. Instead, we'll ensure each version is tailored to take full advantage of its respective simulator, delivering the best possible experience for both.

ChasePlane will debut on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. As Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 evolves, we will continue developing ChasePlane for it at a reasonable pace. While we do have a "working" build, the simulator's current state makes it difficult to commit to a public release. Frequent changes create challenges for efficient development, and we cannot afford to waste time chasing a moving target.

Once the 2024 version of ChasePlane is ready, it will be made available for free to current owners of the 2020 version for a limited time after release.

Have a Wonderful Day

So it is definitely coming for 2024.

Buy it now if you use 2020 and 2024, or just wait a little bit for the 2024 version if that's all you fly. Either way, you don't pay twice. I've waited years for Chaseplane, another month or three won't hurt.

Welp it looks like you will not be using Chaseplane ever in MSFS.

Oh sorry, was that what that was? It just didn't make any sense in the context of the guy you were replying to.
My apologies.

Tobii works fine in 2024, I use it fine.

Get ready for YouTube to explode with 2020 /chaseplane videos from 'influencers' with comments like "wow I didn't realise how good 2020 could look!".

The potential was always there Asobe just didn't care enough.

Hmm… Sounds like something Asobe would say… you’ve been Asobo’d.
