You have to do "Right" > "Center" > "Top". That's an issue in the base sim as well. Maybe we should remove it to avoid confusion. Funny thing is i've had it happen where I go to move the hat switch in multiple directions real quickly and it doesn't move so I release it and then it works but I never knew it was an issue with the sim!! I would say remove it because if most are as daft as me they've never even noticed it in the sim I would wager a guess you are looking at things much more carefully than us LOL! I would call that as "Hat switch works the same as in Sim no changes..." Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

We just did. This article should highlight known limitations of ChasePlane, not issues from the sim that we didn't fix. Thank you for writing your mind here! It helps 😉 Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.

Actually I use Adobe products and autocorrect assumed that when I typed Asobo so I changed the d but missed the o. Comical really considering how many typos and grammatical errors are on avsim but nobody complained until now. February 22, 20251 yr This may already have been answered, and if so, I apologize. In P3d, I really liked the Chaseplane feature that automatically assigned views to key/button bindings based on the view name. I could easily set up views like OH1 and OH2 (two overhead views), AP (autopilot), RS (radio stack), and they would be automatically assigned to my preferred button. Is that feature going to be in the MSFS 2020 an 2024 versions?

If we get the Named Assignments request often, we can bring it back… Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.

Looking forward to having Chaseplane in MSFS!

Yeah I understand there's a workaround using open track and watched a video on it but strikes me as a lot of F'in around. Too many issues for me in 2024 still, lack of add-on airliners properly functioning, streaming remains a nightmare, yadda yadda. In any case I don't want to distract from the topic.

February 23, 20251 yr This is looking very promising. I have two questions. Gimbal option for views to keep horizon level. Is there a slider or something to blend this effect to anyone's taste? Meaning if the slider is at 50% the horizon will not be fully level? I hope it's clear what I mean. How confident are you that MS or Asobo will 'tolerate' tools like Chaseplane? I mean, there is no API for cameras or views. I guess there must be some unofficial programming methods at play outside the boundaries of the SDK. Are you in contact with them? cheers, NiIs U.AMD 5800X3D | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHz | RTX 4070 12GB @ 1920x1050px
February 23, 20251 yr silly question Keven, is it going to be like p3d version where you can import "community" presets for addon aircraft wingviews and cockpit views?

Just multiply them by 100 and put them in "AxisSensitivity". The axis in MSFS 2020 are the same in MSFS 2024, so if you have set "Eye vs head tracking ratio" set to 0.85 in MSFS 2020, it will be AxisSensitivy="85" in AxisName="0" in the MSFS 2024 xml-file. Do that with all Axis and Tobii will work the same in 2024 as in 2020.
