I do indeed ... and I have no issue with the Swapper - it's easy to use and the latest version also allows you to toggle that info, so you don't need the registry hack any more. I was just wondering if the three DLLs were now redundant (apparently not!). After multiple flights (which rebuild all the various caches) I'm seeing slightly more improvement than I did before so I'm a happy camper!

There´s probably nothing wrong with using swapper (or replace the files manually), but apparently it’s not 100% necessary. February 3, 20251 yr Well, after a few flights at 60 FPS most of the time, I reverted back to good old TAA @ 30 FPS. This is still my best choice, at least for the system I have, keeping a smooth and stable 30 FPS display, and temps, both CPU and GPU never exceeding 60ºC... Maybe one day if I get a 4k or 5k I'll revisit DLSS 🙂 Anyway, this thread with the original tutorial, and @Cpt_Piett's youtube tutorial were at least worth the practice 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I just find it interesting that Ian in his original post and TenPatrol which had the original guide, claims that the swapping business can be skipped, as the driver will somehow contain the necessary bits and pieces. I’ve still replaced the files manually, as someone pointed me to some shiny new versions 🙂 Edited February 3, 20251 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Ian simply copied verbatim what TenPatrol (to his disappointment) had posted earlier in the official MSFS forum. "the swapping business" can not be skipped to install/update the 3 NVidia DLSS DLLs. The driver has never, even the latest DLSS4 572.16 version, installed those into the game, that is always a job for the game developer and MS/Asobo have always, with each and every update, installed them again. But they unfortunately still install older versions, not yet the DLSS4 versions. TenPatrol "forgot" to mention how he got the new DLSS DLLs into the game. 😃 once they are installed, yes indeed you only need to change the preset. The 3 new DLSS4 DLLs did not get installed by the driver, they were taken from the latest DLSS4 enabled CyberPunk and uploaded to the usual suspect sites. to test: simply remove the 3 DLLs from C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Limitless_1.3.10.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe and you'll loose FrameGeneration and SuperResolution, only TAA, AMD's FSR 2 or OFF is left, no matter if NVidiaApp nor NVidiaProfileInspector nor the driver install will bring them back. these tools only allow to change a game specific "PROFILE", like adding the new K-Profile for example. that's why I said: update the 3 DLLs manually or preferably use Swapper. I expect that Asobo will update the respective 3 DLLs to the new DLSS4 in one of their upcoming updates pretty soon. February 4, 20251 yr A decent looking sim with DLSS 4, but it is not perfect. Better performance, image quality is impressive and no ghosting. But as you know, good things never last in MSFS. It’ll be broken again in a week. What’s remarkable is that I did not make a single change to the Nvidia Control Panel after I upgraded to DLSS4. I haven’t touched anything and it’s running like butter. My new philosophy: leave the sim alone and just fly!

I'm no expert, but this is what has worked for me (and now that we know that the three DLLs are definitely *required*): 1) New/latest nVidia drivers (I use NVCleanstall). 2) DLSS Swapper (toggle the info visibility if required). 3) The nVidia Inspector tweaks to get profile K to work.
