The flip side would be to release an SU that requires a maintenance release because it was rushed out in which case they would be criticized for not taking more time... I know people don't like when developers are ambiguous about release dates but on the flip side (again to play devil's advocate) maybe just maybe Asobo should become a bit more ambiguous because they don't seem to be doing well in either case when it comes to release dates LOL I never criticised them for delaying the update, I was being facetious about the walking speed 😉 Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

February 15, 20251 yr I think they've addressed this in their podcast. But never release a piece of software without more especially as complex as this is. The proviso should have been Alpha build! It was deceptive to release this half baked product without more. There's two developers which for me have salvaged this software - Fenix and Just Flight with their RJ series for 2024. I fly almost exclusively commercial planes. Rarely GA. If it weren't for these two developers I would have written off this software as one of the worst releases ever and come back to it in 6 months. February 16, 20251 yr I am still having Major memory issues on medium to long hall flights. Starts stuttering horribly. Yes goofing around in the duke or fs500 it seems ok I just have to put on sunglasses at night because the Globe runway lighting but I like aspects of 2024. Just no for commercial flights. February 16, 20251 yr The issue on my end remains the same, FPS cut half when getting out from helicopter cockpit after a solid 50fps during flight. It never goes back until I restart the sim. It also happens when changing aircraft without restarting the sim. In 2020, I got solid 48-52fps in all phases and conditions. February 16, 20251 yr Started the sim yesterday and was getting awful stuttering. Checked the frames and it was around 30-40. Restarted the sim and stuttering had mostly gone, just the usual left, and checked frames and it was back up to 100+. So must be some issue within the beta.

Yes, I'm experimenting something like that. Fps drop and rise randomly! Greetings
February 16, 20251 yr I only have this behaviour when VRAM maxed out. After that it's not possible to return to stable fps, even when settings are lowered by a lot. So I have to monitor VRAM usage on my meager 8GB GPU. If it goes near 7.8 GB or so, I immediately lower TLOD. Especially in career mode (and of course with FG activated) this can happen quite easily. 12 or even 16GB are not necessarily safe of getting entirely used up. This behavior most likely is a bug. A bug that can luckily be avoided but is still quite annoying.
February 16, 20251 yr Yeah I have a 3090, never any VRAM issues and never experienced the problems referenced here. Can't comment on DX11/12 differences because I've always run in DX12 both 2020 and 2024 Kevin Firth - AMD 9800X3D; Asus Prime X670E; 64Gb Cas30 6000 DDR5; RTX5090; AutoFPS

While it won’t launch on February 18th, we appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing another update in next Thursday’s Development Blog. Gotta make sure that walking speed is just right, good job Asobo! This will definitely take a year plus to get fixed. A long road ahead unfortunately. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
