For only £25, BATC transforms AI traffic and ATC and it's stupidly easy to setup and use. My only complaint is that I can't bind VKB controller buttons.

  • We're good. Most simmers agree with me that BATC is the best ATC add-on they have ever tried. It's definitely the most affordable. I try to post NOT to up my post count, but to help others who wa

I tried it for a week or so, but not impressed.  Always climbs to the same altitude after departure, often clears for the ILS miles away from the airport, and often descends way too early/late.

Back to Say Intentions for me, so I can interact with ATC in a more natural and realistic way.

Have they given any indication how long you might have to wait? 😇

I’ve not experienced this

Edit: wait, I did have a single instance months ago doing Ireland to Boston where it asked me to start descending like an hour before my T/D. I’m guessing because the STAR on that approach is very long.

Looks like a very consistent devlopment path to me.

I'm presently testing Say Intentions too, through their free OpenSky offer, and I really enjoy it, but I still use BATC so I'd say it is now 45% BATC 45% OpenSky 10% FSHUD.

My VKB is working.

What is the issue? (I have one, which is that some key is continuously recognized. I am sure I could troubleshoot this, however manages to assign right button by being quick, press assign and that very quickly following your joy key).

Never have any of those issues and I do about 2-3 flights a day with APLv2. Works fine for me. And it isn't $200 a year.😉

If your last waypoint in your flight plan is very far from the arrival airport,it will usually give you the approach and runway before the last waypoint is reached.

I'm impressed with a lot about BATC and keep trying it on flights but agree with the post about descending too early and too low for the planes I fly (Duke, Comanche). In that regard, I dont think its ready for me but know they are working on it. Rome wasnt built in a day as they say.

I do like there are two different ATC AI addons available and both are kinda taking different paths with the same goal allowing the end user to pick and chose what addon to use for a certain flight. This was a nice update to get more info on their development. It will be interesting what will come out of the user feature request. I really hope they stay more focused on just ATC and AI planes than anything else. I enjoy and use a lot of the AI addons of SI but I dont need two programs for that and would much rather have solid ATC/AI traffic for my IFR flying.

My friends, this one is a no brainer. This is the best ATC add-on I've ever used for any simulator.
