Yeah, just flying over the bridge now, looks like the middle of it sank. 😉

The cable cars are also missing, but again they are included in Paolo's version.

I was looking to see if the bridge was released as a stand alone @flightsim.to for those who do not have Paolo's version, but so far no luck.

in sim (2024) SYKA is assigned the ICAO code PSKA for some reason

Can't check 2020, don't have it installed.

PSKA is also how you load the airport in 2020.

MS told us that this would be released today.  Presumably 1600 UTC as per the usual world updates.

So I guess we can expect the usual problem of slow servers this afternoon and lots of users complaining that they can't downoad it or it is not as good as they were expecting.

I'm of course, looking forward to this update and hope it all works properly and doesn't break anything.

For us 2024 users, I guess the update will be streamed, so there will be no downloading involved, but for 2020 users, it may be a different story.

I'm suer the forums will be alight when the release finally lands after months of delays.

Not sure what sim you are on.  I use 2024 and the update was flawless.  Took 20 seconds max to accept the new World Update and the Local Legend aircraft was there ready to fly.

The new scenery is stunning to BTW.

No doom and gloom sorry.

Again, I had high hopes for this update as I saw that Mt Roraima was one of the named features. But I've just fired it up (in 2024) and it is the single most appalling  scenery kludge I think I've ever seen. I'm embarassed for them. This really is one of the natural wonders of the world, and it looks like the most not allowed pile of words (I'll save the mods the effort there) you can imagine.

Before the update the whole area was a fairly featureless collection of low res mountains/bluffs/hills etc, and that is all unchanged but now they just stuck a dead flat lump on the top of the original Roraima. It looks like a giant muddy ironing board, and doesn't even blend in with the underlying original scenery.

If it weren't for the fact that I've also just been doing some totally, utterly, unbelievably amazingly beautiful flights down the California coast and am aware of just how wonderful this effed up mess can look, I'd be joining the "back to 2020" crowd right now. What are Asobo doing? Has this all become some kind of AI experiment internally, you know the sort of thing - an infinite number of monkeys and a C++ library or whatever?

Still my sim of choice, but they're doing their very best to change that, apparently.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I found it. You have to get it for free on marketplace, not in content manager unlike the others WU. Then it will show up in content manager.

No... just no...

ALL World Updates have to be "bought" in the marketplace first. Maybe you are new to the sim, and don't know.

But we have had this discussion for the past 18 World Updates before, because for some inexplicable reason there are always users who can't remember the process from the last 18 times.

For your information, i NEVER entered the marketplace untill TODAY and was able to install all the WUs through content manager.

Previous 2020 World Updates were included by default in 2024, but new ones will be in the marketplace like in 2020.

The one to the left is clearly a capybara. I couldn't identify the other one, its nose is too pointy to be another capybara. Google could neither.

Just checked and it's $3.50 for an excellent rendition of SBGR.

Where? Marketplace?

Edit: yes, in Marketplace. However, it has too much internal detail for my liking. Specially when SBGR receives A380 service regularly.

PS: was the CAP-4 Paulistinha supposed to be free for 2020 too, or just 2024? I had understood the freebies were because of the delay in WU19 (originally for last year).

He is correct, what the heck are you talking about? You go to marketplace, free updates, and click on it, and it then  tells you to go to Content manager to install it.

But that doesn't really work. It disables only some. Here, for instance, I can't disable SR22, but I was able to disable C-17.
