I've been one of the few to defend this sim but what an effing sh8tshow! I got to admit, this is a pretty bad goof up from them, even if it's worded in the beta that reinstalls may occur. Because to be fair, people are technically not in any beta now, even though they didn't leave the last beta and they have voluntarily opted to stay in until the upcoming SU 2 beta. Oh well, growing pains. Reminds me of the infamous peripheral CTD bug in the first few months of MSFS 2020. Hard to say which one is worse, but both are just mess ups by the MSFS team. Having said that, we got through the peripheral CTD bug in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2020 ended up as an excellent flight sim 2 years in, we will get through this one too. March 25, 20251 yr i must have got lucky, i was in SU1 Beta, but noticed on the Saturday morning all the posts about the issue on here. I had seen this before in 2020, therefore did not start 2024, instead i left the Beta via the Xbox App, cancelled auto updates, restatrted the PC, and so far no issues since. No loss of data in the Community folder, (Backed up just incase) despite being in the default location. I think I'll stick with MFSF2020 for a while... And if I went to beta, that's what was recommended for IniBuilds A350 to work properly. Hello, I'd like to come back to this thread to report that after this unfortunate update, my system was completely blocked at game launch with this error 0xc000005 at the start of loading. After much fruitless searching, I was finally able to find what was blocking: the latest NVidia drivers 572.83 (RTX 4080 super card). Reverting to an earlier version finally solved the problem and everything now works perfectly on my machine JPM Ryzen9 7900X3D, GTX 4080, Ram 64 Gb

Definition and examples Flighting is an advertising strategy in which the seller runs adverts for a period and then no ads at all for another period. The words ‘ads‘ and ‘adverts‘ have the same meaning, i.e., advertisements. In a flighting strategy, the advertiser only places adverts during optimal periods. During periods that are not optimal, the seller does not place any ads. Flighting strategy capitalizes on consumer trends and seasonality, focusing ad spend during peak shopping or interest periods for more effective marketing. We refer to the periods with and without adverts as the flight and hiatusrespectively. This flight-plus-hiatus strategy goes against some theories which suggest that advertising should be continuous. Recent theory, in fact, strongly insists that having a hiatus is bad for sales. The website smallbusiness.chron.com has the following definition of the term: “Flighting involves allocating your advertising budget to ensure maximum exposure during optimal periods.” “No advertising occurs during sub-optimal periods, conserving your advertising” Here in the US, if you visit a craft brewery and want to sample several different beers the brewery produces, they will pour small glasses of the product (usually 4) lined up on a board, and it is referred to as a “flight”. March 25, 20251 yr To be completely honest, it isn't like MS has ever really been good at making software. Sure, they have a monopoly on Windows, but even that product has had plenty of ups and downs. They have financial success, but the actual products are generally not very good. Skype is a good example. When MS bought Skype, it was a great tool. But with each update it got worse and worse, even as more and more people signed up for it. Here's a good example. If I want to sign out of Skype, these are the steps I have to take: 1. Click my avatar 2. Scroll down (the menu is too long to fit vertically on my iPad) 3. Click Sign Out 4. Click Sign Out again 5. Click "Sign out and remember" or "Sign out and forget" So when Asobo is making dubious UI decisions I just don't think anyone at MS is going to be of any help. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

And that's part of the ‘etiquette’ - especially in this subforum, isn't it (if I compare to other subforums)? 😄 There's always great entertainment here and I want to be part of it. It's a good thing that Asobo doesn't write software for safety-critical areas. And now I'm out of here.
