Our production team has advised me that they were doing some backend work in preparation for the start of the SU2 beta. If you were previously enrolled in the beta test group, you may receive this download, but it is not the SU2 beta nor is it an update to the sim; you will remain on the same version (SU1 release, 1.3.23.0). We are currently investigating why this might have resulted in some of your settings or Community folder being reset. Thanks, MSFS Team"

March 21, 20251 yr after watching various problem reports, I paused the download and deactivated "launch game when ready". I wonder if they'll fix this latest update mess still over the weekend. again, this is NOT SU2 beta. people with empty COMMUNITY folder after this update: there is a free tool on flightsim.to called "MSFS AddonLinker" to avoid such problems. when will they ever learn. Thankfully since I had moved my Community as well as the FS2020 and FS2024 and also StreamedPackages and the ROLLINGCACHE.CCC to F:\MSFS, I didn't lose anything ... But this coincided with the INIBUILDS A350 update and it messed my A350 install. Already fixed. This is why I also way prefer my dear X-Plane 12 install simplicity and efficiency... never cleaning or messing around with whatever I have installed, less any incompatibility issues introduced by newer versions when the addons need update. Kudos to Austin and LR for their clean and clever work !!! I wasn't enrolled and had no issues either. In talking with other folks it does seem to be limited to anyone in the beta program still. I would strongly urge anyone still enrolled not to start MSFS2024 until MS confirms this problem has been resolved. the update is wiping all the MSFS24 AppData folders, so your LocalCache, WASM, Airplanes, content.xml, exe.xml etc etc Also multiple reports of people losing their entire physical Community folder contents Edited March 22, 20251 yr by atco
