March 28, 20251 yr I'l gladly pay $5 for 30 days worth of testing in ANY sim based aircraft that I'm interested in trying before buying. I much prefer to do that than to spend alot more upfront with no refund policy and get burned much of the time. Yep, I really kinda like this idea. Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons
March 28, 20251 yr I have 4 questions: Who are these developers? What have they developed in the past? Who had the "brilliant" idea (not really) pricing model? Why not sell the different models separately like any other developer out there with common sense as not every one needs all them if they were even interested in this product. $120 is a lot to ask for many folks and a 737 classic is already a niche product to begin with.

I think more than enough people have commented on the pros and cons on the pricing model. It genuinely isn't nearly as bad as some people are making it out to be. I already made a comment on the price $120, it being niche doesn't really matter if it's fidelity is up there with the greats (something CSS will need to prove)

March 28, 20251 yr I think this has real potential but like some others have mentioned in this thread, it's hard to know just from some images, especially from a new developer. I understand also why they are releasing first in MSFS2020 but I personally have made the shift to 2024 so it's a bit underwhelming for me when I hear about new releases going "first to 2020" because that means basically nowhere near 2024 release. I agree. We don't know this developer while some developer like inbuilds, fenix, just flight transitioned their 2020 product to 2024 fairly quickly some doing it at much slower pace (PMDG, Ifly and etc) Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). Whatever. I do go-to-market pricing for a living and this is easily the best pricing model I've ever seen for an MSFS addon. The only thing I'd add is lease-to-own if you pay the $5/30 model, it should go towards the total cost of the addon. There's something for everyone in the pricing model. Most of the people who have objections don't seem to "get it."
May 10, 20251 yr Quote Captains, CSS here! Thank you for your patience and for waiting so long! Today I will keep it short: the CSS 737-500 release window is 16.05. - 18.05.2025. Expect more details over the coming week! I imagine they'll start handing out keys to streamers so we can see what they've been cooking. A lot is riding on their first impressions as an unknown dev into this community. Exciting times for us classic lovers.

If that's the fidelity level they end up delivering, then I'll be interested. If it's at the same level as PMDG, then I'll stick with the known-good developers who offer add-ons with a more digestible pricing structure. The truly great thing is they're putting their money where their mouths are. I'll definitely give the $5 rental a shot once the better reviewers have weighed in (i.e., waiting til those far better qualified than I)

Never really got that impression, where did you? 6 minutes ago, UrgentSiesta said: then I'll stick with the known-good developers who offer add-ons with a more digestible pricing structure. It's a 737 classic, there's no other developer doing that. pricing structure won't please everyone as we've seen with PMDG's 777 lineup. Is what it is, but I appreciate being able to try it out for $5 since no one in this community does refunds. 8 minutes ago, UrgentSiesta said: The truly great thing is they're putting their money where their mouths are. Oh a 100%, they got a lot to make a first impression. Though the question is, which streamer is going to realistically test that, rather than just "flying" it. I guess we could always wait until its in our hands
