Aerosoft CRJ V2 released

They were going to release a week ago with THIS MUCH that needed attention - if it were released a week ago would we have seen this much work put into the product in seven days?

This is why I don't trust this company.  It will take a lot of positive feedback before I buy this - it is an aircraft I would like to purchase.

That change log indicates all the changes made since last October, not just in the last seven days.

  • This is another one I will sit out and wait to see the feedback before diving in...   Unfortunately Aerosoft has let me down so many times I'm reluctant to get anything from them anymore.   Fool me on

  • If you bought the original version, it is very cheap at 0.00 of your currency.

Flying my standard test flight right now.  FMS and Tablet far better integration.  Everything seems “snappy and crisp”. All improved from my POV. I’m about 1 hour from approach. I’ll post back after that with a final summary but so far…I think we’ve finally got a working CRJ!

SUMMARY:  Made a successful descent and landing at KLAS.  Most improved for me was adherence to descent speed.  At TOD the plane tipped over and I dialed in a speed of 290 after trimming throttles back.  Plane held 290 all the way to 11,000 where I dialed it back to 240.  After that descent to final was initial 220, at GS 144.  Speeds held with minimal (normal) intervention and I made a good landing and roll out.  There were some rough spots, probably because I haven’t really flown this bird much in the past year.  This flight was in 2020.  I’m about to launch same in 2024. I will report on that too but so far, much better.

Seeing as i already own it, this is a nice surprise. But this took years to update, which is really unacceptable. I hope they learn to be more supportive moving forward, because i have skipped buying from Aerosoft specifically because of the lack of support for the CRJ. I hope they do better.

Looking forward to others' reviews. Cautiously optimistic!

I don't think it'll be controversial to say that, with a somewhat high degree of certainty, this is likely the final patch.

Is it still difficult to get above 26000 feet altitude?

Cool, given my upgrade price is $0 I’ll give this a go tonight.

I haven’t flown it in ages, does anyone remember if the CRJ has throttle detents at all and /or if there’s a throttle calibration utility on the EFB?  Need to remember which throttle to use with this one.

Throttle calibration and detents are in the EFB.

Maybe.  Gonna try again, but in my initial flight I had a final altitude of 37000, but after watching it struggle thru 32000 I leveled of at 35000.  Climb speed was 290 the entire assent.

Really need to switch to Mach above FL240. I use .64 with no problems.

Not yet. AS has said it’s on the way but that could be days, weeks or years LoL.

Remember when people thought buying things in the MS store was a good idea to keep addons consolidated? Pepperidge Farm remembers.......
