Good luck, -B Oh I don't think Aerosoft one existed when I bought it lol. edit: Oh! I installed the app and poof there it is! I'll try a quick MSP - YYZ flight and see how it is! edit: well it botched the initial turn out of MSP when I used DIR ... but subsequent turns seemed okay. SPD mode doesn't seem to work well unless you first dial a VS and match and then engage SPD. Not exactly sure how the real one works. April 1, 20251 yr Bought on the marketplace so I assume it’ll be a while before I get a chance to evaluate. Looking at the change log, though, a lot of pretty significant bugs were fixed (allegedly 😁). Looking forward to trying it out! Chris

I haven’t flown it in ages, does anyone remember if the CRJ has throttle detents at all and /or if there’s a throttle calibration utility on the EFB? Need to remember which throttle to use with this one. I have the original from simmarket but it downloads the installer starts the aerosoft app then when I try to enter the key it does not recognizes it. It says installer updated today in simmarket. April 1, 20251 yr I purchased direct from Aerosoft when they had a sale on the CRJ-500-700 for $20 a few years ago. Just went and downloaded their new app (Aerosoft One) to download and it installed. But it just downloaded into a folder called Aerosoft One Library. I'm not sure, but do I need to now place the CRJ plane folder into the MSFS 2020/2024 community folders manually? Just a little confuse since I always used a normal installer with Aerosoft addons in the past with serial numbers, etc. Edited April 1, 20251 yr by F1Fan

April 2, 20251 yr I did 2 flights (with some time compression enroute). EDIT: Flight done in MSFS 2024 SU2 beta KMSP WLSTN7 GRB YZEMN NUBER6 CYYZ - shot an ILS 06R at YYZ - this flight went fine for the most part. Like I wrote above I had a weird issue on departure...the WLSTN7 is an initial vector and when I direct to'd DWIYT the aircraft had a hard time making the turn and it overshot and eventually corrected back. Subsequent turns in NAV mode were fine. I made a mistake (I think) and for the ILS into Toronto, I had FMS1 as the source, the LOC1 needles appeared in the background and I had hoped with APR mode engaged, the plane would auto select source to LOC1 (similar to the pro line 21 on the Citation CJ4), but it didn't. I'm not sure if the real CRJ9 has this ability or not. I *gasp* disengaged the AP and hand flew the ILS and made a decent landing. I wanted to answer the burning question - CAN IT FLY AN ILS? lol! Yes it can! It does a pretty good job. My second flight was: KMSP NESIC (ILS RY 09 self vectors) KDLH. I set my self up for about a 12 mi final and the AP intercepted the localizer at 190 KIAS without too much trouble. It flew down the glide slope just as well. I even configured late to trick the AP (deploying flaps quickly and letting the speed bleed off quicker than I would normally) and it still stayed aligned pretty well. IMO, this version is a VAST improvement over the original joke of an MSFS product. The art and sound updates really help, and the EFB is pretty good actually! I loaded mine with Navigraph. I'm honestly shocked they offered this as a FREE upgrade! The only downside I could see was the cabin interior is pretty low res. The cockpit is gorgeous. I'll post some shots at the Screenshot Forum soon. The aircraft loaded into the sim pretty quickly so maybe that's the issue (WASM not properly compiling). I went to the location where my other WASM folders are (IE the one you have to delete when you update the A350) and there wasn't one there. I was hoping to delete it and force a recompiling of WASM. Maybe the fact that it's not there is also a sign? Any ideas on how to force it to recompile? I had the same issue twice, then restarted the sim. Was then able to get setup and take off. Then, shortly after departure, I commanded a left turn using HDG mode and the aircraft started the turn, then banked violently to about 90 degrees and plunged into the ground. Maybe both are connected to WASM issues. I'll give it another try tomorrow, but as of now I'm not feeling great about this one for my regional flying vs the Just Flight RJ and F28. I'll add I'm in MSFS2024 SU1, not on the SU2 beta yet. Interestingly the video posted above talks about how the automatic switch from FMS to LOC is a feature only available in the NG version and is pretty unreliable in real life. It's possible for the plane to keep aligning with the FMS guidance and never really make the switch. The suggested technique both in real life and the sim is to switch to HDG mode, select LOC manually, then engage the APR mode.
