Aerosoft CRJ V2 released

I was thinking the same.  Also, shouldn't this aircraft take time to compile WASM on the first load?  The aircraft loaded into the sim pretty quickly so maybe that's the issue (WASM not properly compiling).  I went to the location where my other WASM folders are (IE the one you have to delete when you update the A350) and there wasn't one there.  I was hoping to delete it and force a recompiling of WASM.  Maybe the fact that it's not there is also a sign?  Any ideas on how to force it to recompile?

I had the same issue twice, then restarted the sim.  Was then able to get setup and take off.  Then, shortly after departure, I commanded a left turn using HDG mode and the aircraft started the turn, then banked violently to about 90 degrees and plunged into the ground.  Maybe both are connected to WASM issues.  I'll give it another try tomorrow, but as of now I'm not feeling great about this one for my regional flying vs the Just Flight RJ and F28.

I have noticed that in 2024 does cause problems for a number of planes when you first load into a flight. I find restarting the flight as soon as it first loads clears a lot of issues. That's my default now - click fly now, then restart flight. Takes a few seconds but saves a lot of headaches. YMMV.

  • This is another one I will sit out and wait to see the feedback before diving in...   Unfortunately Aerosoft has let me down so many times I'm reluctant to get anything from them anymore.   Fool me on

  • If you bought the original version, it is very cheap at 0.00 of your currency.

Could somebody tell me if the Boris soundset works for this version? ( i already had it) On the ORBX page, it says "for MSFS2020/2024 and V2 but it seems to be a new version? Thanks. I'm trying to get this info from ORBX but they hasn't replied yet.

Disregard. There was an update from Mr Boris. Sorry.

If you have V1 from Simmarket how do you install it? I noticed the installer on SM is updated to today. All the download does is install Aerosoft one app? There is no plane download on SM? Lost

I'm trying this now (by "this" I mean I also purchased from Simmarket in 2021, and am trying to find v2)

I do have Aerosoft One, and I set up Aerosoft One to know where my MSFS2024 Community folder is (Aerosoft One --> Settings) but the app isn't showing v2 of the CRJ, or v1 for that matter.  I'll try to download from Simmarket.   I wonder if I need v1 installed in 2020 first?

I just asked a message on the Aerosoft Forum about how to get this done.

I *was* able to go to Simmarket and selected v2 of the CRJ, and it said $0 cost (yay).   And it even added v2 to my downloads in Simmarket (yay).  Then, when I click to download, it starts downloading Aerosoft One.  Ok, that's cool, I have done that with other add-ons so no big deal.  So I let it (re)load Aerosoft One, go in Aerosoft One, and v2 isn't showing up.  Oh, it shows up to PURCHASE, but not in my library, and, there isn't any way to add a 2021 Product Key into Aerosoft One, either, at least that I know of.  And attempting to enter my Serial# into the voucher box on checkout does not work.   I'm not a noob when it comes to this stuff, but, they have stumped me...I certainly feel like a noob.

Maybe they'll get me (us) sorted via my post on their forum.  Surely there are many many of us who purchased the CRJv1 thru Simmarket.

WLSTN7 is an initial vector and when I direct to'd DWIYT the aircraft had a hard time making the turn and it overshot and eventually corrected back

It happens in the real plane depending on the distance and intercept angle to the fix. If it looks like we are going to overshoot the intercept, we generally just "double pump" the current fix (select and drop it back on itself in the CDU) to allow the FMS to recalculate a more favorable intercept.

I had FMS1 as the source, the LOC1 needles appeared in the background and I had hoped with APR mode engaged, the plane would auto select source to LOC1 (similar to the pro line 21 on the Citation CJ4), but it didn't

The CRJ NG/Atmosphere will auto select when you do as described. Sounds like that isn't modeled in the sim.  Real world it works pretty well most of the time. Every once in a while the plane does a horrible job capturing the actual localizer. It actually happened to me last week flying into YYZ. The overshoot, and subsequent meandering attempt by the autopilot to correct was so bad that we ended up going around to try again. Not sure what was causing it to behave so poorly. ATC gave us a perfectly reasonable vector. I manually switched to the localizer the second time around and it still wanted to overshoot. I ended up disconnecting the autopilot manually flying the approach the second time around. So when people get frustrated because the sim doesn't fly the approach perfectly, you can argue that the sim is just replicating real life 😉

I am still blown away by how difficult the most simple of simple task become in the FS world. They all do it. (screw up)

Figured it out. Add it to your cart SM go to checkout  and finish. There is a new key generated. Copy that key into the Library in AOne. Bottom left there is a way to add it by pasting the key and add to library.

That was it, copy the NEW key from Simmarket's order area.  Then go into Aerosoft One --> Library and in the lower-left corner click on ENTER PRODUCT KEY.  Grrrr so convoluted.

There is nothing simple about the world of flight simulation and its inhabitants.
There are so many niche demands and so little understanding of how online
retailers must work that from time to time, what to many looks perfectly
straightforward, will to others look to be labyrinthine.

Yes indeed.  Got the same problem here with it bought originally through Just Flight.  The JF download was through the Aerosoft One app, but as with above, the product isn't on my Aerosoft One list (I have others which are there) and when I try to add it, it doesn't recognise the serial number.  Unlike the Simmarket solution above, I haven't found a way to find a new S/N in the JF system so have had to lodge a ticket with Aerosoft.  I suspect they are going to have a few more in their inbox...
