April 2, 20251 yr Ryan, I am just a desk top pilot, but there is the option in the EFB to add VNAV, I think it is an option on the 1000's. In v1 it was just OK but from my trials last night the VNAV in v2 worked much better, I used SPD for the Climb phase and VNAV for the descent phase. The only down side I have found so far is the DIR function does not play well, I did just read that it sounds like even the real one sometimes has problems so pilots will actually double pump the DIR, to get it to re-draw the path. For example if you want to go direct to SMOKE you would select it and place it at the top LSK then hit EXEC, then select it again and place it in the same LSK again and hit EXEC again, I don't know if this will work in the AS CRJ but I plan to try it tonight. So far after 1 flight I was very happy with the flight dynamics and fixes that they put in. I would like to see the HGS lowered a bit, when using it on Final it still seems that the flight director is too low on the screen, it is not like on v1 where you could not see it, but it still seems too low for use. ________________________________________________________________________________ Jeremy 9800X3D OC'd -30 +200MHZ | 64GB CL30 RAM | RTX 5080 | Windows 11 23H2| Bravo Throttle | Alpha Yoke | CH Pedals | Logitech Radio Panel | SmoothTrack | AAO
April 2, 20251 yr I never really had quite the same disdain for the Aircraft that other people did. But I have to say now with charts and flightplans, it really enhances the experience. The airplane follows the turns a lot better now. Take off isn't a wierd wiggly roll fest. Approach seems better. My only issues are: The airplane seems too prone to air movement, its just constantly bepopping around like a cessna in 20G28 even if the wind is pretty minor. The airplane auto rotates earlier than VR so that is less realistic. I do not like the new interior and how the glass looks it makes making good wing views a bit harder and the biggest thing. None of the old Skywest repaints I use work anymore so all I have now are the stock repaints nostrum, cityline and PSA AE. I'd really like to find a way to get my skywest repaints working. Creators will have to make all new repaints. Even the newest ones dont have the interior so you get a mis of pink checker boards. Overall a great improvement for 0 dollars. In my opinion worth the 45 euro asking price. I was hoping they might include the 200 but that was never promised.

That could be a reason why you rotate before V1...

Go to the other thread on this topic and learn how you can convert that static MP license to a more expedient one via Contrail. Directions in the thread and it is taking HOURS, not DAYS. Dont be a griper, gryper and good luck. -B Edited April 2, 20251 yr by btacon

I do the flights between KTUS KPHX or KPHX KFLG and it's the same weight roughly everytime. 7k lbs. fuel, 70 passengers, 3k cargo. Trim is usually 7.3 to 7.5, but the plane lifts pre-maturely. everytime.

If you have it on Aerosoft one you just have to go to the Aircraft and pick the Manuals tab where all documents are listed. There is a "Third Party Livery update guide" Edited April 3, 20251 yr by Farlis
April 3, 20251 yr I also had it rotate early, Trim was set to 6.7 exactly as prescribed and it rotated at or just before V1 automatically. From now on I will just give it a few notches less trim. ________________________________________________________________________________ Jeremy 9800X3D OC'd -30 +200MHZ | 64GB CL30 RAM | RTX 5080 | Windows 11 23H2| Bravo Throttle | Alpha Yoke | CH Pedals | Logitech Radio Panel | SmoothTrack | AAO
April 3, 20251 yr Is the Aerosoft Updater app still used? Or would all updates come thru Aerosoft One? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

Well, I suppose it is all about what you are looking for...but, personally, I think it's excellent. I did a flight-plan flight EGBB to EGGP in the 700 variant, finishing with an ILS landing, taxi and shut down and it didn't disappoint! I certainly think this might end up being one of my favourite small passenger jets... If this was Just Flight, I would have purchased in 2 seconds, but I need a lot of positive before I think about this one. I’ve got it MBF. I’ve had V1 from its earliest FSX days and beyond. Various sims, same plane. IOW I KNOW Aerosoft CRJ as well as anyone here. Here my take. Definate improved over V1. Notable are VNAV and speed management on final approach (cruise too FTM). So many of the bugaboos of V1 don’t appear, but…fall behind in the slightest way and all the old flaws come roaring back, at least for me. It ain’t PMDG/Fenix Plug n’ Play, Set n’ Forget. If that’s what you want don’t look here. But if you seek an improved Aerosoft CRJ V2 it will probably suffice. If you already own it, no brainer. It’s free. If buying caveat emptor. It ain’t perfect but it’s improved over V1. My take, -B
