I was having a little trouble. But press the APU POWER FUEL button, then wait for the message to change from APU DOOR CLOSED to APU DOOR OPEN. THEN, press the APU START/STOP button.

well, it's not so simple for some of us. I have seen YT tutorials where indeed the apu door opens at the touch of that button..  but unfortunately not for me, I tried everything. Reinstalled and checked for rogue bindings that might prevent the door from opening. Tried with all hardware disconnected but never ever does that door open.

I have to problem at all with APU last night. But I watched the stream where person mentioned mixture binding that may prevent APU from starting. I do have dedicated bidding for CRJ without mixture binding in my case.

I also experienced troubles with APU start. I discovered the following: from turnaround AC state in EFB, I press APU FUEL button, keep then APU START/STOP button depressed few secs and release. Start will light-up and APU will initialize. Go figure!

I did one test flight in 2024 and I really like it. I did one localizer approach to KRDD, but for some reason HSI indication was reversed even those the course and nav source were set correctly. Not sure if I did something wrong!

I got the “please call back during regular business hours” message when I called at 10:30 Eastern which isn’t encouraging. Left a voicemail.

No callback and got the same "Please call back during regular business hours" message today. Looks like PCAviator may not be aviating anymore, which is a shame because I made many purchases with them.

Unfortunately it's radio silence from Aerosoft too (I asked if I could get the upgrade based on receipts and serial numbers from my PCAviator purchase).

Well, thank you !  That solved it for me. I was always waiting for the APU door to open before  trying (without luck) to start the APU. But indeed if you hit the Start/Stop button straight after pushing the  APU fuel button the APU  will start. Not sure if that is the procedure IRL  but anyway.. I got it running now..

I had to re-load the airplane and then the APU started just like it's supposed to.

I don't remember THAT aspect of this plane being finicky back in 2021-22 with version 1.

In all my testing during the beta, never encounter this particular problem. Not sure what would cause  it. When you press the left APU master button, (which is not lighted), you should see the APU RPM and EGT gauges appear on the #3 display  and the APU inlet door move to “OPEN”. Is that happening?

Possibly another control binding is interfering?

Just hit the APU Master (the one on the left) once and release immediately (no extended click), as Jim stated, you should see the associated message in CAS (APU In Byte, etc.), once the APU DOOR OPEN message is on, then click on APU START.

Hope this helps!

Anyone know where the update is for the Marketplace purchase?

Yes! In fact I found APU binding on my honeycomb bravo!

Oddly enough  I was able to start first time. Today I try to fly following same procedures as yesterday but powering APU  won't show door open status just dashes. So I removed APU binding and now it seems works again. Unfortunately I don't have time today to fly, so will try tomorrow. Hopefully nothing breaks between now and then LOL
