Yes while this is a bit off topic I would be more interested on the  BS Caravan if it had a G1000 option - so that not being the case the 2024 Kodiak is very appealing.

I'm hesitating whether I need to pay 50% of the full price to upgrade to the 2024 version, as I haven't noticed many significant improvements. At the same time, competition in the GA aircraft market is intense—A2A and Black Square are doing such an outstanding job that I always hesitate to spend money on aircraft from other developers. Even though the Kodiak 100 offers STOL capabilities and a G1000 avionics suite, I'm still on the fence about the upgrade.

I still fly the 2020 version of the Kodiak in 2024 and largely, things are OK..

However, I found the standby attitude indicator to be unreliable. Most of the time it would blank out the top part, and then other times, it would be fine..  Having now spent some time with the code, I believe I have it fixed.  If you run into the same thing (while waiting for the 2024 version..), send me a PM for the fix.

I was hoping for a flight model overhaul, but do not see it.  Maybe it is simply poor piloting skills on my part, but I have more than once  had the airplane do a series of kangaroo hops when landing slightly hot (70 kts)..  Would expect it to be less prone to "pilot induced" hopping on landing..

Thanks for posting this. So, full price for owners of the 2020 version? I didn't see the amphibious version listed, and after logging in to the SWS web site, I still see full price.

What's really changed? The description seems to be pretty identical to what I remember of the 2020 description except for the walk-around features. Not sure that this will be worth the upgrade, especially at that price?

This is the complete package - 50% discount is applied at checkout if you qualify. I think it is well worth it but, up to you to decide. 

As for what has changed -

Avionics overhaul: featuring a full G1000 NXi with custom screens, upgraded ESI500 with synthetic vision and redrawn air conditioning interface, the brain of the Kodiak 100 closely mirrors its real-life counterpart!

Preflight: Now supporting the native 2024 walkaround feature, allowing you to open and remove covers, inspect the brakes, wheels, check oil level and interact with the aircraft exterior!

Support for the native FS2024 Dirt & Weathering system

Accessibility: Custom code allows users users to be able to use MSFS’ auto-start/auto-stop feature without damaging their engine. The system will turn power on, wait for the avionics to initialise and follow correct starting procedure, while also reacting to detected emergencies.

Systems improvements: from engine response to air conditioning, improvements and corrections have been done to the aircraft’s systems to allow for smoother and more realistic operation
