May 28, 20251 yr Are you using the rudder trim? If you don't the thing will be a beast to handle. I only flew a quick pattern with it in 2024, but I ran into no issues. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

December 8, 2025Dec 8 I will resurrect this post... On Sunday when looking at my library, there was an update to the Kodiak in msfs2024, so I installed it. Whatever the update was broke the plane, so now when I go to fly it, I see only the fuselage skeleton, no wings, tail, engine, just the inner skin and pilot sitting there like a dork. Has anyone else seen this update...I'm not even sure how long the update had been sitting there as I have about a 1 year gap between msfs2020 and msfs2024 because of my pc going to purgatory until I finished it off. Anywho, I have completely uninstalled it, redownloaded several times and reinstalled several times, but for whatever reason is broke and I'm not sure how to fix or what I can do. Thanks! December 9, 2025Dec 9 I’ve had pink texture issues happen with a few other add-ons I purchased from the Marketplace, including IniBuilds PHNL. It’s occurred when I already had the product downloaded then applied an update. What worked for me was to remove the downloads and just stream them. But this does sound more like a livery incompatibility issue. Edited December 9, 2025Dec 9 by Gulf76

I have joined Simworks discord channel and posed the question there as well. I will report back here if I hear any news. Well, there’s a 50% discount for prior owners, so, for me at least, that makes it easy to buy both. But I do have to admit, if the BS Caravan had a G1000 option, I’d probably skip the Kodiak.

I understand that view, but I like both planes, bush flying, and having the option of analog or G1000. Plus already owning both in 2020, they are discounted so that helps a bit. Kodiak includes all variants and is cheaper than the Caravan so might be the better option if you only want one. The Kodiak has consistently been rated high by the community since its release over at MSFS Forums Monthly Top Ten Plane thread.

Funny, I thought the same thing to myself earlier when I saw this post. I would really appreciate some more G1000 options in the sim, as many of these aircraft are now equipped with them. MSFS 2024.
