Had high hopes but the FsLabs A321 neo is a mess

I am quite surprised that many simmers these days don't even bother reading the manual that comes with the addon. All you need to know is available in EFB including a tutorial on how to use the AOC system. On my end all works as it should do.

  • Did you even read the manual?

  • It should really be put this way.  There are CEO Basic and CEO Enhanced aircraft.  All NEO are enhanced aircraft and come with sharklets.  The Basic original A320 family had CRT's for the displays. Th

All the issues the OP is experiencing both in this thread and the main one are covered in the manuals.

" Nosewheel steering with pedals is really difficult (apparently the only way to do this is by clicking the steering disconnect button on the tiller)...why not just make nosewheel steering with pedals an option?"

Page 13 of the introducton manual has a whole chapter on the steering tiller, and states:

"Set Pedals Control NWS to ‘ON’ using LSK 2L on the Rudder Pedals Option Page. This results in the rudder pedals controlling the rudder the same way you are used to in the simulator."

It‘s not a toy, but a very sophisticated simulation.

Does anyone know why the plane sort of "jumps" both inside the VC and outside when switching views outside/VC?

Have to chime in as well, there are things and quirks that I don’t necessarily like, but overall it is a nice piece of software, and yes read the %%#*{ manual.
and yes the GSX, it works okay until it doesn’t 🤣

ps whose gonna tell Umberto? 😂

on my last flight i asked it to take the gpu away.  The gpu tug thing drove up with no one driving it, then disconneted the GPU but left the cable dangling off the aircraft.  then it seemily disappered 30 secs later. Priceless. Not to mention it wont let you connect or disconnect the gpu when the pax are getting on or off.

alas flightsim 101.

a bit like crew fatigue, you cant question or critise anything to do with GSX.  Been that way for over a decade.

After a few years with GSX in P3D, I vowed to never buy it again. Nothing but problems.

It's not that bleak and dread. Yeah, it has a mind of it's own, but i still use it normally. When it starts acting, puff, restart the Couatl and move on. I think it still has more positive than negative sides.

Its not that bad Bob. Once and a while it does something funny but its never wrecked a flight.

thats pretty "black and white" Bob . GSX is really a fantastic addon and i hope they still continue to evolve.

So many things they have to take into account and actually mine is working 98% of the time without any issues.

Hopefully like FSL  , GSX will have more functions to payware (like the Ifly Max for instance)

Thanks

You have years of bad experience with a product that offers little or no benefit, and you don't buy it again. Not hard to figure out.

None of these complaints other than GSX Integration I see a need for as they are all easily rectified.
It's like refusing to like a specific car because of the fuel fill being on a different side than what you are used too.

I honestly don't really see the reason to complain, GSX can be a little tricky but for me it's worked 100% of the time.

Also a commenter said you have to calibrate the throttles using just 1 in the MCDU, Not true, I use the TCA setup as 2 individual throttles without a single issue.

Yeah but sometimes you have to loose a little to gain much you know , like when i told you the Ifly 737 MAX was at a state you shouldnt miss out. No need to to slam the product but GSX can really provide the feeling of immersion (specially combined with the FSLabs like in P3D , wow)

Agree it's a nice add-on. But the GSX integration is a total pain.  Please make this an external choice. By the way I tried loading the plane twice yesterday and both times I had crashes. Then loaded up Fenix and not an issue.

Now if Fenix can get their 321-neo out soon that would be gold!
