June 28, 2025Jun 28 Oh, my. This is well outside what I'm normally interested in, but I have a history here. I've been fortunate enough to have flown in a Falcon 50 several times, including one memorable trip from the Colorado Front Range to Oregon where I got to ride in the jump seat. I had just started work on my private at the time and I couldn't have been more excited. It was a flawless June morning with not a cloud in the sky the entire trip. I can still see the lineup of the Cascade volcanoes in my mind's eye. You can see an amazing distance from FL500! Definitely interested in this one. Scott

June 28, 2025Jun 28 The FA50 was not delivered with autothrottles, but there are several STCs available that can add them. The promo video did not really show the cockpit except for a very brief image, but the news release indicates it will be equipped with a Garmin/Apollo MX20 which is a general purpose MFD that interfaces with several different GPS models to provide moving map functionality and optional electronic charts. The last model in the Falcon 50 series, the FA50EX did come factory-equipped with glass displays, but evidently the Contrail offering emulates an older version of the airplane.
