July 16, 2025Jul 16 By the lack of obvious major changes this seems to be the usual sign that this is probably the release candidate for SU3.

Hello guenseli, As soon as the new beta build was out, we posted the 1.5.17.0 release notes in exactly the same location that we always post every beta update's patch notes, the "Beta News" section of the official forums: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/su3/su3-news/390 What kind of communication would you prefer for sharing beta release notes? Thanks, SeedyL, MSFS Community Manager

July 16, 2025Jul 16 It's not about the release notes (however they are too short looking at all the bugs that sim has) It's about the interaction from Asobo /Microsoft with us. I await that there is probably some longer text/statement what problems they face, what they are currently working on, IF they are even really aware of the arrival stutters etc. If there is any idea what could be the culprit, and so on. And give us then just one sentence which says nothing in the end, fits in my negative picture I have meanwhile unfortunately. Hello guenseli, Today's pre-release test build is relatively small and thus it doesn't contain a lengthy list of changes. However, if you look at all the release notes from every SU3 beta build so far (from my previous link above), you'll see that the total number of changes in SU3 is quite extensive. As for your comment about stutters on arrival, that issue has the #bug-logged tag on the official forums which means we have entered it into our internal tracking tool and the devs have confirmed that it is, indeed, a valid bug. You can find the discussion thread for this issue on the official forums here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/horrible-stuttering-fps-drops-at-airports-during-landing-beta-2-1-4-14-0/717741 If you are looking for information about other things the dev team is working on, I suggest tuning in to our regular Developer Livestreams on Twitch (with the VODs subsequently posted to YouTube). The panel of Jorg, Seb, and Martial address many questions from the community, discuss the development roadmap, and reveal other future updates coming to the sim. As announced in our regular weekly Development Update blog (published on our website every Thursday), the next Developer Livestream is next week: July 23, 2025. Thanks, SeedyL, MSFS Community Manager

July 17, 2025Jul 17 Just did my first full flight in the starship (omg checklist purgatory!!) but it was really satisfying to nail everything and not make too many mistakes. Telluride to Provo municipal. Vor to vor. Flew the star manually and hand flew the ils. Lots of work but the landing was greased 🥰. back to SU3. Thanks, SeedyL, MSFS Community Manager Hi Seedy. Sometimes you take our suggestions and present them in meetings with the MSFS team, right? I think the communication is okay, as I often check the SU beta forums myself. But here are my two cents on some small improvements that could be made: 1. If there is a way to filter the official forum by Community Manager response, that would be awesome. This way, we can see what the Community Managers wrote recently. For example, if I could go to the SU3 beta forum, and quickly see all the Community Manager responses, that would help to improve communication. I know that Community Managers are constantly posting in the SU3 beta forum, but you really have to dig through a thread to see a Community Manager's response. The ability to quickly see and filter all Community Manager responses in a thread, in a specific forum, for the entire site, etc, would help alot to improve communication. 2. Maybe a summary every 2 weeks from the Community Manager of how the beta is going, the problems that arose, and what the priorities are being fixed, in the beta News forum, would help the transparency of communication. I think a 3 paragraph summary of how the beta is going, every 2 weeks, would help people understand what the MSFS team thinks of how the beta is progressing, and help to close the communication gap. IMO, I actually think the communication from the MSFS team, including the Twitch Q&As and the responses in the official forum, is about an 8 out of 10 - you guys are doing a pretty good job already. But if I were to nitpick, these are some suggestions on how it can be improved further. Thanks! Edited July 17, 2025Jul 17 by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
